摘要: A display mirror assembly for a vehicle is presented that includes a full display module and an electro-optic element that includes a first substantially transparent substrate having first and second surfaces disposed on opposite sides thereof. The second surface includes a first electrically conductive layer. A second substantially transparent substrate has third and fourth surfaces disposed on opposite sides thereof. The third surface includes a second electrically conductive layer. A primary seal is disposed between the first and second substrates. The seal and the first and second substrates define a cavity therebetween. An electro-optic medium is disposed in the cavity. The electro-optic medium is variably transmissive such that the electro-optic medium is operable between generally clear and darkened states. A first electrical connection and a second electrical connection are positioned on the same side of the electro-optic element.

摘要: The invention relates to a transparent electrochromic system (100) which includes two pairs of transparent supply electrodes (1-4), which are intended for being electrically connected to variable power sources (20, 21). The electrodes of the two pairs are supported by separate outer walls (10, 11) of the system, on either side of a closed volume which contains electroactive substances. The electrochromic system has superior dynamics and switching rate. Various embodiments of the invention correspond to various modes for connecting the electrodes to the power sources, and to various partitions of the closed volume into separate cells (13).

摘要: A transparent glazing, and a control method thereof, with a field of view that can be darkened over a portion of its surface by electrically controlling at least one functional element incorporated into a multilayer composite, the light transmission of which glazing can be varied reversibly. The functional element, for example a solid-state electrochromic multilayer system, includes at least one electrochromic functional layer enclosed between two surface electrodes. The surface electrodes and their leads are matched to one another and spaced spatially with respect to one another such that darkening starts at one edge of the functional element and, with a remaining voltage applied between the surface electrodes, propagates continuously over the surface of the functional element until it is completely and uniformly colored. The glazing can be used as an electrically controllable sunshield for windshields of vehicles or the like.

摘要: An electrochromic device is disclosed, including two electrochromic elements, which are switched in a time separated manner. Each electrochromic element is arranged of electrochemically active material, and connected to a counter layer by a solidified electrolyte. In at least one embodiment, the electrochromic device further includes at least one resistive device which restricts the electrochemical reaction of one of the electrochromic element, such that a color of this electrochromic element is not substantially altered until the other electrochromic element is reacted to a predetermined extent.

摘要: An electrochromic device with high transmittance is for use as a display device. The electrochromic device includes at least a first and a second electrode formed on an insulative substrate and a conductive layer formed in contact with the insulative substrate, the first electrode, and the second electrode. Since an electrode layer functions in one layer, the transmittance through the device is enhanced, and the device can be fabricated in a simple process, allowing a reduction in the device fabrication costs.
