Abstract:
A document management system manages documents. The documents are managed such that the documents may be shared with multiple users during an online sharing session. During the online sharing session of a document, the document may be annotated. The appearance and location of the annotation is consistent across the difference devices of the users even though the devices are of different device types.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods, systems, and computer-readable media for tracking location of locking devices. One locking device includes a wireless transceiver, a memory, an electronically controllable locking mechanism, a processor, and a location determination circuit configured to determine a location of the electronic locking device. The processor is configured to receive one or more location data items indicating the location of the electronic locking device at one or more times, to store the one or more location data items in the memory, and to transmit the one or more location data items from the memory to a mobile device via the wireless transceiver.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an electronic communication module (2) for locking/unlocking at least one movable panel of a motor vehicle, including a resonant circuit adjusted to a timing frequency and including an transmission winding (20) connected in series to a tuning capacitor (21), said resonant circuit (20, 21) being capable of emitting a low-frequency interrogation signal, at said tuning frequency, to a portable badge or identifier, and a manually-actuated triggering member (22), the actuation of which triggers the transmission of said interrogation signal. According to the invention, the triggering member is a button switch (22) connected in series to at least one resistor (23) in order to form an electric dipole (24), and said electric dipole (24) is electrically connected in parallel to all or part of the resonant circuit (20, 21). The invention also relates to a central processing unit (3) for controlling said module through two electrical connection wires (4, 5), and to an associated hands-free access system.

Abstract:
An exemplary lockset is configured for installation in a standard door preparation, and includes an exterior assembly, an interior assembly, and a center assembly connecting the exterior and interior assemblies. The exterior assembly includes an exterior escutcheon which houses a credential reader assembly including a multi-tech credential reader. The interior assembly includes an interior escutcheon which houses a control system. The center assembly includes a chassis, an outer surface of which may define a channel. The credential reader assembly is in communication with the control assembly via a wire harness, a portion of which may pass through the channel.
Abstract:
Provided is a locking unit for a housing, comprising at least two doors for locking each housing opening. The locking unit has a locking element module for each of the doors, said module having at least one locking body and a locking drive for actuating the locking body. The locking drive has a common drive element for the locking element modules, which drive element can be moved about a displacement path, and which, in a first displacement position, brings the locking body, for only one of the doors or only a first group of doors, of the doors into an unlocking position, and in a second displacement position, brings the locking body for all doors into an unlocking position. The invention also relates to a housing comprising a locking unit of this type, and to a method for unlocking one or more doors of a housing of this type.
Abstract:
Systems and techniques are presented for processing a user through a paid entry gate using a mobile device. The mobile device receives a beacon packet from a first wireless beacon and wakes up an application. The application wakes up by transitioning to an active or background execution state. The application transmits validation data to a computer server system and the computer server system validates an account of the user. The mobile device receives a beacon packet including a gate identifier that is a unique identification of the paid entry gate from a second wireless beacon and transmits the gate identifier to the computer server system. The computer server system receives the gate identifier, debits the account of the user, and transmits a signal to a gate entry device associated with the gate identifier to grant the user passage through the paid entry gate.
Abstract:
A smart fob for interfacing with a smart module includes: a low frequency receiver for receiving a first password and a smart module ID number in a low frequency signal; a memory for storing a registration number with which the smart fob is registered to the smart module; a smart module ID detector connected to the low frequency receiver for waking-up the smart fob if the smart module ID number in the low frequency signal matches the smart module ID number in the memory; a processor for providing a second password derived from the first password and the registration number of the smart fob; and a high frequency transmitter for transmitting the second password in a high frequency signal.
Abstract:
Controlled startup of devices is based on dynamic statistical predictions. Timely startup of onboard associated vehicle devices is based on dynamic statistical predictions and driver proximity to the vehicle. An apparatus for timely startup includes an interface operatively coupled with a power consuming device and control logic coupled with the interface. The control logic is operable in a first mode to perform processing for determining a presence of a first condition of the vehicle, and to selectively activate the power consuming device of the vehicle, via the interface, responsive to determining the presence of the first condition. The control logic is operable in a second mode to suspend, via the interface, the processing for determining the presence of the first condition of the vehicle. The control logic selectively transitions between the first and second modes in accordance with a stochastic modeling of the presence of the first condition over time.
Abstract:
A lock actuating device is presented for mounting to a door leaf of a door. The lock actuating device has a transceiver capable of interaction with a wireless key device in the form of a mobile telecommunication terminal by short-range wireless data communication. A controller of the lock actuating device is coupled to the transceiver and capable of generating a control signal. A lock actuator has an electric motor and is adapted for actuation of an internal lock mechanism of a lock inside the door leaf upon receipt of the control signal from the controller. A local battery power unit serves as a sole power source for powering the lock actuating device.
