摘要: An assembly includes a premise security device, a mounting bracket, a first electrical cable, and a second electrical cable. The first electrical cable has a first electrical cable first end, connected to the premise security device controller, and a first electrical cable second end. The second electrical cable has a second electrical cable first end, electrically connected to the premise security device controller, and a second electrical cable second end. When the premise security device housing is coupled to the second mounting bracket portion, the second electrical cable second end is electrically connected to the first electrical cable second end to form an electrical circuit between the premise security device controller and the electrically connected electrical cable second ends. The premise security device controller is configured to monitor the presence of the electrical circuit and generate a tamper signal when the electrical circuit is no longer present.

摘要: A programmable security system and method for protecting an item of merchandise includes a programming station, a programmable key and a security system. The programming station generates a security code and communicates the security code to a memory of the programmable key. The programmable key initially communicates the security code to a memory of the security device and subsequently operates the security device upon a matching of the security code in the memory of the security device with the security code in the memory of the programmable key. The programmable key may also transfer power via electrical contacts or inductive transfer from an internal battery to the security device to operate a lock mechanism. The security code may be communicated by wireless infrared (IR) systems, electrical contacts or inductive transfer. A timer inactivates the programmable key and/or the security device after a predetermine period of time. A counter inactivates the programmable key after a predetermined maximum number of activations.

摘要: A system and method for activating security mechanisms based at least in part on accelerometer-based dead reckoning wherein accelerometer data, reflecting acceleration in a local coordinate system of a device, is obtained from an accelerometer of a device. Movement of the device is determined based at least in part on the accelerometer data, and, based at least in part on whether the movement of the device exceeds a threshold value, a determination is made whether to change a current security state of the device. If it is determined to change the current security state of the device, the current security state of the device is changed to a new security state.

摘要: Tamper-respondent assemblies and methods of fabrication are provided which include a multi-layer stack having multiple discrete component layers stacked and electrically connected together via a plurality of electrical contacts in between the component layers. Further, the tamper-respondent assembly includes a tamper-respondent electronic circuit structure embedded within the multi-layer stack. The tamper-respondent electronic circuit structure includes at least one tamper-respondent sensor embedded, at least in part, within at least one component layer of the multiple discrete component layers of the multi-layer stack. The tamper-respondent electronic circuit structure defines a secure volume within the multi-layer stack. For instance, the tamper-respondent electronic circuit structure may be fully embedded within the multi-layer stack, with monitor circuitry of the tamper-respondent electronic circuit structure residing within the secure volume within the multi-layer stack.

摘要: An anti-theft device for monitoring connection between a male plug and a female receptacle. The male plug has a sheath enclosing a plurality of conductive pins. The sheath contains a tongue having a first retracted configuration when the male plug is outside the female receptacle and a second displaced configuration when the male plug is inserted in the female receptacle. In the second displaced configuration, the tongue engages at two conductive pins, thereby creating a closed electric circuit. An alarm module monitors the electric current flow within the electric circuit, and responsive to detecting an interruption in the electric current flow, the alarm module transmits an alarm signal.

摘要: A security device is provided including a security lock configured to retain an object when locked, a receiver configured to receive a security code transmission, and processing circuitry configured to transition the security lock between a locked state and unlock permissive state based on receipt of a security code. The security lock may initially be set to the unlock permissive state. At the first instance in which a security code is received, the processing circuitry may transition the security lock to a key permissive mode in which the security lock transitions to a locked state and in response to a subsequent receipt of the security code the security lock transitions to the unlock permissive state.
