摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and method for setting ad breakpoints in a video. The program and method provide for accessing a video; determining plural shot boundaries for the video, each shot boundary defining a shot corresponding to a contiguous sequence of video frames that is free of cuts or transitions; and for each shot boundary of the plural shot boundaries, performing a set of breakpoint tests on the shot boundary, each breakpoint test configured to return a respective score indicating whether the shot boundary corresponds to a breakpoint for potential insertion of an ad during playback of the video, calculating a combined score for the shot boundary based on combining the each of the respective scores, and setting, in a case where the combined score meets a threshold value, the shot boundary as the breakpoint.

摘要: In the present disclosure, a collaborative workspace fosters content creation between users in a synchronous and/or asynchronous manner by enabling automatic generation and management of collaborative media objects that automatically combine content from a plurality of users into a single media object. This is extremely beneficial in technical scenarios where users are creating projects, assignments, presentations, etc., by removing the need for users to manually stitch together and combine content to create a final product. For example, the collaborative workspace is adapted for a video discussion application/service, where users create one or more video clips (e.g., video feeds, live video feeds) in response to a posted topic. In at least one instance, a collaborative workspace for a video discussion application/service may be integrated to display within another type of application/service. However, the present disclosure is extensible to work with any type of application/service and any content type.

摘要: Methods, devices, and systems for segmenting and annotating videos for analysis are disclosed. A user identifies specific moments of the video that provide a teachable moment. A pre-context and a post-context portion of the video surrounding the identified moment are used to create a tile video. One or more tile videos are compiled in a user-defined order to generate a weave video with a specific focus or theme. The generated weave video is shared with one or more users and can be annotated to facilitate teaching and/or discussion.

In one embodiment, the video editing system comprises a memory to store instructions and video data that captures an activity of a participant and one or more processing units coupled to the memory, the one or more processing units executing the instructions to determine existence of one or both of signal data and media of a co-participant in an activity and to implement editing processing logic to create a clip from the video data by processing signals and editing the video data, where the processing of the signals and the editing of the video data are based on one or more of signal data and media associated with the co-participant in the activity.

摘要: A system for generating a digital representation of a video signal comprised of a sequence of video frames which each include two video fields of a duration such that the video plays at a first prespecified rate of frames per second. The sequence of video frames includes a prespecified number of redundant video fields. Redundant video fields in the video frame sequence are identified by a video processor, and the video frame sequence is digitized by an analog to digital converter, excluding the identified redundant video fields. The digitized video frames are then compressed by a video compressor to generate a digital representation of the video signal which plays at a second prespecified rate of frames per second.

摘要: A virtual memory system for a video editor is disclosed which permits edited material from discrete takes to be electronically spliced in real time to form edited scenes. Typically, a plurality of cameras take film of originally acted scenes, either simultaneously from different angles or sequentially of differing takes of the same scene material replayed by skilled film actors. The film material is thereafter recorded from all uncut takes to a random access memory, preferably a DRAW laser video disk. An intelligent interface--preferably a microprocessor--connects at least two and preferably three laser disk heads for reading the video frames of the same uncut takes. Each disk head is provided with and reads the identical disk material containing identical unedited takes. An intelligent interface addresses a video disk head to randomly access the uncut takes and cause playing at controlled speeds forwardly, backwardly or still frame. A controlling computer addresses the intelligent interface and maintains and immediately updates a frame address list of edited takes including the first frame address of each take, and the last frame address of each take. All takes are maintained in the specified serial order of the edited scene. For immediate review at any time of an edited scene, the controlling computer commands the intellignet interface to play the current edited take and positions one player on the first frame of the next sequential take--this frame being the first frame of the next take in forward motion or the last frame of the previous take for reverse motion.
