    摘要: Provided is a molded case circuit breaker including a front space, a rear space divided from the front space, a fixed contact unit provided on one side of the front space and in electric contact with one of a power supply and a load, a movable contact unit installed in the front space to be movable and in contact with the fixed contact unit, a switching device installed in the rear space and operating to allow the movable contact unit to be in selective contact with the fixed contact unit, an operation device installed in the front space and the rear space and transferring the movable contact unit according to operation of the switching device, an arc extinguishment chamber installed on the one side of the front space and extinguishing an arc induced while the fixed contact unit is being separated from the movable contact unit, and a barrier preventing backward movement of the arc from at least one position of a moving way of the movable contact unit, the position separate from the fixed contact unit.

    摘要: A molded case circuit breaker comprises: a plurality of stationary contact arms; a plurality of movable contact arms each having a plurality of contact arm pieces; a switching mechanism providing a driving force to move the movable contact arms to a closing position or an opening position; a driving shaft configured to provide a driving force for simultaneously rotating the movable contact arms; a link configured to transmit a driving force; a holder configured to rotate the movable contact arms; an upper arc barrier configured to prevent arcs from moving to a rear side from an upper side of the movable contact arms; and a torsion spring having one end portion contacting upper surface of the movable contact arms on the opening position, so as to provide an elastic force to the movable contact arms such that the movable contact arms are rotated to the closing position.

    摘要: A movable arm assembly is for an electrical switching apparatus including a stationary contact and an operating mechanism. The arm assembly includes a biasing member and an arm member having a first end, an opposite second end, a pivot point therebetween, and a portion having a longitudinal axis. A movable contact is disposed at or about the first end. The arm member engages a crossbar member at or about the pivot point such that the arm member can pivot from a first position to a second position. The biasing member engages the arm member at a point between the pivot point and the second end and includes a portion that engages and biases against a housings of the crossbar member. The longitudinal axis of the portion of the arm member is oriented generally parallel to the portion of the biasing member when the arm member is at the first position.

    摘要: An arc chamber barrier for a circuit breaker is provided. The arc chamber barrier has a body with a first interlock component that is structured to engage a second interlock component disposed in the circuit breaker primary cover. The arc chamber barrier body is further structured to be disposed in an elongated contact chamber at the interface of an arc chamber portion and an operating mechanism portion. In this configuration, the arc chamber barrier first interlock component resists displacement of the arc chamber barrier body when a pair of separable contacts moves between the second, closed position and the first, open position.

    摘要: A microprocessor-based circuit breaker includes a chip that defines the current rating or ground fault current for the breaker. Thus, the maximum current rating and/or ground fault current can be set after manufacture using the chip that is electrically connected to the microprocessor. The breaker includes mechanical components that trip to disconnect the load terminal from the line input. The mechanical components include a floating breaker arm, trigger and tripper lever that cooperate to control the tripping of the breaker. A spring between the breaker arm and trigger, together with cam surfaces defined in the breaker switch cooperate to form a floating linkage to control the position of the breaker arm during on/off activation and current fault conditions. The circuit breaker also includes multiple indicia to provide a visual indication of the type of fault condition sensed by the breaker.
