The off-time component is configured to receive the first comparison signal and generate an off-time signal based on at least information associated with the first comparison signal. The off-time component is further configured to, if the first comparison signal indicates the sensing signal to be larger than the first threshold signal in magnitude, generate the off-time signal to keep the switch to be turned off for at least a predetermined period of time.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an overcurrent detecting device and an overcurrent detecting method each of which detects an overcurrent upstream of an inverter circuit in a drive control device for an electric motor. The overcurrent is detected without providing a shunt resistor in the upstream of the inverter circuit, and miniaturization of a circuit substrate is achieved. The overcurrent detecting device calculates a current value of a power supply line from each phase current supplied to the electric motor and a power supply voltage of the inverter circuit, and detects an overcurrent, based on a current value determined from a drop voltage value by an electronic part connected to the power supply line and the current value of the power supply line.

The transient voltage is provided by an alternating current (AC) power line that includes a line conductor, a neutral conductor, and a ground conductor. The transient voltage protection system includes a first stage protection device coupled to an input of a rectifier of the motor drive controller. The first stage protection device is configured to suppress the transient voltage to prevent damage to the motor drive controller. The transient voltage protection system also includes a second stage protection device coupled between the rectifier and an inverter of the motor drive controller. The second stage protection device is configured to further suppress the transient voltage to prevent damage to the inverter.
