摘要: Systems and methods for power tools having touch sensors. One power tool includes a housing, a motor, a first handle, a second handle, and a controller. The first handle includes a user input configured to be actuated by a first hand of a user. The second handle includes a touch sensor configured to detect a second hand of the user on the second handle. The controller is configured to determine whether the user input is actuated, determine whether the second hand of the user is on the second handle, control, in response to both the user input being actuated and the second hand of the user being on the second handle, the motor to drive the motor, and prohibit, in response to the user input being actuated and the second hand of the user not being on the second handle, operation of the motor.

摘要: A method for adjusting a drive control signal for a motor includes providing a drive circuit having a first pin and a second pin, wherein the drive circuit generates the drive signal. A period of the drive signal is determined and an advance angle count value is extracted from a storage register in accordance with the period of the drive signal. One of the advance angle count value and a first control signal coupled to the first input pin are used to determine an advance angle adjustment range or an advance angle count range and a second control signal received via the second input pin are used to determine an advance angle adjustment range. The drive control signal is adjusted in response to the advance angle adjustment range.

The motor controller is configured to determine a first mode of operation for the motor, based on at least one of a predefined schedule stored by the motor controller and an input signal received by the motor controller from at least one ancillary device. The motor controller is additionally configured to transmit a first control signal to the motor to operate the motor in the first mode, and to transmit a second control signal to change an operation of the at least one ancillary device, wherein the at least one ancillary device includes one or more of a heater, a chlorine generator, and an ozone generator.

摘要: A power tool is disclosed having a compact AC switch assembly. An electric motor driving the power tool is contained within a housing that includes a handle. A trigger is slidingly received in the handle and moves in an axis of trigger travel along a trigger travel distance extending between an extended position of the trigger and a depressed position. A trigger switch including a printed circuit board is disposed in mechanical communication with the trigger and controls the electric motor in accordance with trigger position. The printed circuit board has a plurality of conductive traces that are sequentially arranged and linearly aligned adjacent the trigger in a direction that is transverse to the axis of trigger travel to reduce the width of the printed circuit board to a value that is less than or equal to three times the trigger travel distance.

A phase shift value is generated using the position indicator signal. The position indicator signal is used to generate an adjusted position indicator signal in response to the phase shift value. In accordance with another embodiment, a lead angle adjustment circuit includes a counter coupled to a subtractor circuit through a multiplier circuit. A storage register is coupled to the output of the counter and to an input of a slope determination circuit, wherein the slope determination circuit is coupled to a first external pin of the lead angle adjustment circuit. A multiplier circuit is coupled to the slope determination circuit and to a second external pin.

摘要: In accordance with an embodiment, a stopping circuit includes a detection circuit connected to a subtraction amount determination circuit. A subtraction circuit is connected to the subtraction circuit and the subtraction circuit is coupled for receiving an output signal from the subtraction amount determination circuit. A duty determination is connected to the subtraction circuit and a state controller is connected to the duty determination circuit. A counter is connected to a state controller. In accordance with another embodiment a method for stopping a motor is provided by decreasing a duty of a drive signal. The duty of the drive signal is lowered from a first level to a predetermined level. A braking state is entered in response to the duty of the pulse width modulation signal achieving the predetermined level.
