    Abstract: A power tool includes a power a motor, a driver circuit, a capacitor, a capacitor switch, a temperature detection unit, and a controller. The capacitor is configured to filter out current spikes in a power supply. The capacitor switch is configured to control a working state of the capacitor. The temperature detection unit is configured to detect a temperature of a related object. The controller is configured to: acquire the temperature of the related object; control the capacitor switch to be in a first on or off state such that the capacitor works in a first working state when the temperature is lower than a temperature threshold; and control the capacitor switch to be in a second on or off state such that the capacitor works in a second working state when the temperature is higher than the temperature threshold.

    Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method optimizes thermal control of a vehicle motor, the vehicle including a cooling device including an actuator varying cooling capacity, the method including training a reinforcement learning algorithm including the iterative steps: 1) determining an action to control an actuator by applying a control function to a current state of the thermal system, and implementing the action; 2) determining a modified state of the thermal system after implementing the action; 3) calculating, by implementing a thermodynamic reward function of the motor, a reward value based on the modified state of the thermal system, and the action; 4) updating a function for estimating thermal performance based on the current state of the thermal system, the modified state of the thermal system, the action and the reward; and 5) modifying the control function based on the update of the function for estimating thermal performance.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining a value profile of a controlled variable of an electrical system. Differences between predetermined values of an output variable at an end time and a determined value of the output variable at the end time are determined. A value profile of the controlled variable in the time interval is predetermined, the value profile being dependent on an end value at the end time and is being determined uniquely by the specification of the end value. Allowed values of the controlled variable are determined such that, when the electrical system is activated, the value of the output variable at the end time is equal to the determined difference. A curve of the allowed values of the controlled variable is determined on the basis of the allowed values of the controlled variable. A point of intersection of the determined curve and a predetermined derating function is determined. The value profile of the controlled variable within the time interval is determined as the value profile for which the end value of the value profile assumes the value of the controlled variable at the point of intersection.

    Abstract: A driving apparatus includes: an inverter unit generating a three-phase alternating-current voltage from a direct-current voltage in accordance with a drive signal based on a voltage command and outputting the three-phase alternating-current voltage to a permanent-magnet motor, the permanent-magnet motor including a permanent magnet; a current detection unit detecting a motor current flowing through the permanent-magnet motor; and a control unit generating the voltage command to control an operation of the inverter unit and estimating a temperature of the permanent magnet to perform a protection operation on the inverter unit on the basis of the motor current and an overcurrent protection threshold. The control unit sets the overcurrent protection threshold on the basis of a magnet temperature estimated value of the permanent magnet and any one of a control computation period of the control unit, an output voltage frequency of the inverter unit, and a carrier frequency based on the output voltage frequency of the inverter unit.

    Abstract: Provided are a motor device, a gear motor, a detection method, and a computer readable medium capable of detecting a load fluctuation and performing highly accurate preventive maintenance. The motor device comprises: a motor; a power detection circuit that detects power supplied to the motor; a temperature sensor that measures a temperature of the motor; a storage unit that stores a regression equation expressing a relationship between power detected by the power detection circuit and a temperature measured by the temperature sensor, and a physical quantity used to derive an output shaft torque of the motor; and a processing unit that derives the output shaft torque of the motor from the power detected by the power detection circuit and the temperature measured by the temperature sensor by using the physical quantity obtained by the regression equation.
