    摘要: A plurality of inductance enhanced interweaved rotary traveling wave oscillators (RTWO) is disclosed. Portions of the transmission line conductors are increased in length and run in parallel. Because the currents in these portions travel in the same direction, the inductance of these inductors is increased. By controlling the length of the transmission line conductors in these areas compared to the lengths where the currents in the oscillators travel in opposite directions, the overall impedance of the oscillators can be increased. Increased impedance leads to lower power and lower phase noise for the oscillators. Additionally, the interweaved oscillators are phase-locked to each other.

    摘要: A microstrip L-band bipolar dielectric resonator stabilized oscillator (DRO) devised in a moderate size (2'.times.5".times.3.6"), low-cost, reproducible circuit. Embedment of back to back varactors in the DRO provide voltage tuning for phase lock application without compromise of noise performance. Extremely low phase noise with a low l/f noise corner is achieved and the DRO is essentially constant in frequency and output power over temperature, all due to unique circuit configuration. An internal buffer amplifier and dc regulatory circuits provide a DRO that is insensitive to frequency pulling due to load changes and power supply voltage leads. New standards of performance are accomplished that permit simplified stalo configuration with lower phase noise.

    摘要: In a microstrip frequency modulated oscillator, the linearity of the modulating circuit incorporating a varactor diode is adjusted by using a microstrip transmission line as a secondary resonator in conjuction with a variable reactor. The variable reactor is connected between the other end of the secondary resonator and ground.

    摘要: Methods and devices for the generation of high frequency clock signals. In a transmission line a signal is reflected back and forward. The electric length of the transmission line determines the frequency of the oscillation. A start signal at the switching device initiates a signals traveling down the transmission line. At the other end of the transmission line the signals is reflected back. At the tapping point along the transmission line, part of the energy of the signal in the transmission line is coupled out to form the feedback signal. The feedback signal activates the switching device. The switching device injects energy into the transmission line and sustains the oscillation on the transmission line. The position of the tapping point on transmission line determines the shape of the feedback signals and can hence be used as a design parameter optimize the performance of the system. High voltage swings in the transmission lines can be used to improve the phase noise or jitter performance of the oscillator.
