    摘要: A very high frequency oscillator (4-22 GHz) including field effect transistor and first and second YIG sphere resonators whose reactant frequencies are displaced, which gives the oscillator a wide frequency range. The first YIG sphere is doubly coupled to the source and gate of the transistor, which gives the oscillator good linearity (.perspectiveto.10.sup.-3) over its frequency range. The second YIG sphere is coupled to the gate by a coupling wire which also couples to the first YIG sphere.

    摘要: A nonreciprocal transmission line apparatus is provided with a cascade connection of unit cells between ports. Each unit cell includes a transmission line part for a microwave signal, and shunt branch circuits equivalently including inductive elements. Each unit cells has spontaneous magnetization or is magnetized by an external magnetic field so as to have gyrotropy by being magnetized in a magnetization direction different from a propagation direction of the transmission line part. In each of the unit cells, the shunt branch circuits includes a first stub conductor formed on one side with respect to a plane composed of the propagation direction and the magnetization direction, and a second stub conductor formed on the other side with respect to the plane, and the stub conductors have different electric length from each other.

    摘要: A second-harmonic oscillator based on push-push oscillation has a pair of amplifiers for oscillation, a high frequency transmission line for connecting inputs of the pair of amplifiers to each other and connecting outputs of the pair of amplifiers to each other, and an electromagnetic coupling member disposed between the inputs and outputs of the pair of amplifiers such that it is electromagnetically coupled to the high frequency transmission line. The electromagnetic coupling member includes at least a dielectric resonator. The pair of amplifiers, high frequency transmission line, and electromagnetic coupling member form two oscillation loops which oscillate in opposite phases to each other with respect to a fundamental wave of oscillation for generating a second harmonic of the fundamental wave.

    摘要: A switchable microwave oscillator is disclosed that includes a quenching circuit for switching, attenuating, modulating, or otherwise controlling the output amplitude of frequency-stabilized, transistor-based, microwave-frequency oscillators. The quenching circuit includes a diode that is coupled to the transistor at the same port that reactive feedback is present, and includes diode biasing means for selectively applying a bias voltage to the diode. The quenching circuit selectively diverts some of the current flowing through the transistor of the oscillator to control the output thereof.

    摘要: YIG oscillator apparatus comprises both an FET-based YIG oscillator circuit and a bipolar transistor-based YIG oscillator circuit inside a single magnetic structure. Both YIG spheres are disposed in the single air gap of the magnetic structure, which is defined by a pole piece which is tapered to an elongated pole surface which is only slightly larger than necessary to cover both YIG spheres. A band reject filter is included inside the housing for rejecting second harmonics of desired oscillation frequencies only.
