    摘要: An optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) is disclosed comprising an electronically tunable filter for transposing narrow pass band characteristics of a surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter to a microwave frequency to provide mode selection in the OEO. An OEO is disclosed comprising a set of optical domain components, a downconverter in communication with an output of the optical domain components, and a set of radio frequency (RF) domain components in communication with an output of the downconverter. The set of RF domain components comprises a tunable filter operating at a filter center frequency and having an output coupled to the set of optical domain components for communicating a mode selection result. The tunable filter including a tuner; and a sub-filter. The sub-filter operating at a fixed center frequency to provide mode selection and adjacent mode suppression with respect to the tunable filter center frequency. The sub-filter center frequency being lower than the tunable filter center frequency, and a ratio of the tunable filter center frequency to a bandwidth of the sub-filter being at least 1000:1.

    摘要: A semiconductor device includes a one-segment tuner I/F that is connected to a one-segment tuner, a tuner I/F that is connected to a digital terrestrial tuner, a decoder that selectively decodes a first broadcast signal supplied from the one-segment tuner I/F and a second broadcast signal supplied from the tuner I/F, a general purpose processor that is provided separately from the decoder and decodes the first broadcast signal, and a switch unit that, based on signal intensity of the second broadcast wave, switches the decoding by the decoder between the first broadcast signal and the second broadcast signal while the general purpose processor is decoding the first broadcast signal. The one-segment tuner I/F, the tuner I/F, the decoder, the general purpose processor, and the switch unit are integrated on one chip.

    摘要: An FM radio receiver comprises a radio frequency tuning circuit for selecting a frequency modulated signal from an antenna and a local oscillator tuning circuit for tuning to an oscillating signal so as to convert the frequency modulated signal to an intermediate frequency. In the radio frequency tuning circuit, a capacitance variable ratio is set so as to be capable of receiving continuously the frequencies of both a first FM receiving band used in Japan and a second FM receiving band used in the US and Europe. The local oscillator tuning circuit is so constructed that an inductance value and a capacitance variable ratio can be switched so that the receiver is set to lower heterodyne for reception in Japan or upper heterodyne for reception in the US or Europe. As a result, a single receiver design can be configured for reception of FM radio broadcasting in either Japan or the US or Europe using a common front-end circuit, without increasing the number of components.

    摘要: An electronic tuning circuit for AM receiver is disclosed which is so designed that tracking errors are minimized by increasing the accuracy of constants for tuning coils, oscillation coils and capacitance elements incorporated in an antenna tuning circuit, a high-frequency amplifier circuit and a local oscillator circuit which constitute the electronic tuning circuit. After the electronic tuning circuit has been mounted in place, tracking adjustment is effected at one point of the receiving frequency band, or alternatively no such adjustment is required.
