    摘要: A method for communication includes provisioning each node in a network with a respective set of two or more network addresses. Each node in succession is assigned a respective network address from the respective provisioned set that has not been assigned for use by any preceding node. Upon finding for a given node that all the network addresses in the respective provisioned set were assigned to preceding nodes, the preceding nodes are searched to identify a candidate node having an additional network address in the respective provisioned set, other than the assigned respective network address, that was not yet assigned to any of the nodes. The additional network address is assigned to the candidate node instead of the respective network address that was previously assigned to the candidate node, and the assigning of the network addresses to the nodes in the succession resumes following the candidate node.

    摘要: A Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server includes a memory storing computer-readable instructions, and a processor configured to execute the computer-readable instructions to determine a media access control (MAC) address associated with a client, determine the MAC address associated with the client is a randomized MAC address, and assign an IP address the client from a DHCP IP server pool. The processor assigns an IP address to the client from a DHCP IP server pool using one of identifying, in a DHCP server table, at least one host name of the client and assigning a previously assigned IP address to the at least one host name of the client, and when the host name of the client is not available, assigning the IP address using a first lease with a first duration shorter than a default lease duration used for non-randomized MAC addresses.

The method includes the client device selecting a Media Access Control (MAC) address and generating an outgoing test message that includes a first hash token to test an availability of the selected MAC address. The first hash token includes a K generation hash (HK) value of a seed known only to the client device, where K is an integer value greater than one. The method further includes the client device sending the outgoing test message; determining based on a response to the outgoing test message or a lack of a response to the outgoing test message that the selected MAC address is not in use, and using the selected MAC address based on the determination that the selected MAC address is not in use.

The method can also include transmitting, by the item of pool or spa equipment, the IP address and a serial number to a target parent node. Additionally, the method can include listening, by the item of pool or spa equipment, for a broadcast topology message from the target parent node. Further, the method can include determining, by the item of pool or spa equipment, that the IP address is valid based on the broadcast topology message and, upon determining that the IP address is valid, completing a startup process by the item of pool or spa equipment.

    摘要: In a method for monitoring or tracking between mobile devices of a same group, mobile devices broadcast messages in broadcast mode over a radio interface in compliance with a short-range digital communication protocol. The messages can be received by all other mobile devices in the vicinity and can communicate according to the protocol. The messages include encrypted data encrypted using at least one identifier of the emitter device and a seed intended for single use or having a short period of validity. The encrypted data can only be decrypted by a limited group of devices. The mobile devices receive messages broadcast by other devices and decrypt the messages intended for a group to which they belong. If the protocol provides that the message includes an address field of the emitter device, this field is filled with a randomised address intended for single use or having a short period of use.
