Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for receiving a packet from a client, the packet having header information including a destination Internet Protocol (IP) address, a destination port, a source IP address, and a source port, and wherein the source IP address and source port are associated with the client; selecting a destination virtual machine based on the destination port; modifying the packet by replacing the destination IP address in the header information with an IP address of the selected destination virtual machine; and sending the modified packet to the destination virtual machine.

Abstract: In accordance with a designation of a private alias endpoint as a routing target for traffic directed to a service from within an isolated virtual network of a provider network, a tunneling intermediary receives a baseline packet generated at a compute instance. The baseline packet indicates a public IP (Internet Protocol) address of the service as the destination, and a private IP address of the compute instance as the source. In accordance with a tunneling protocol, the tunneling intermediary generates an encapsulation packet comprising at least a portion of the baseline packet and a header indicating the isolated virtual network. The encapsulation packet is transmitted to a node of the service.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards locating and counting unused nodes, such as free Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) address blocks. A hierarchical structure of nodes is created from an origin block to a specified lower level, and the hierarchical structure is processed using mapping and eliminating to locate free nodes. A first node group comprises node(s) in use, a second node group identifies intermediate subnets between the first node of the first node group and the specified origin block, and a third node group identifies any subnets hierarchically below node(s) in use. Unused (free) node count information is obtained based on nodes below the origin block that are not in the first node group, the second node group, or the third node group.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the disclosure are directed to communication bridging among disparate platforms in a remote communications environment involving first and second chat rooms. According to a specific example, a communications system is configured to provide remote communications services including a communication bridging service and another type of data communications services, in the remote communications environment. In certain embodiments the system may provide or generate connectivity data, such as a uniform resource locator (URL), to facilitate formation of the communication bridge, and may identify chat room protocols associated with the first and second chat rooms. The system is further configured to translate chat messages using the specifications for the first and second chat room protocols, and transmit chat messages between the first chat room and the second chat room.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for monitoring the status and location of personnel using a remote timer. In some embodiments, a method includes execution of a subject application (app) on a network accessible device. A countdown timer of a remote server is initiated to monitor a time interval, the remote server communicating with the network accessible device over a network. Geo positions of the network accessible device are monitored during the monitored time interval. The remote server sends a notification to a monitoring device responsive to at least one of the following events: the monitored time interval ends without the remote server receiving an authorized personal identification (PID) value; or the remote server receives an unauthorized PID value prior to the conclusion of the monitored time interval. In further embodiments, a notification is sent based on an out-of-bounds geo position of the network accessible device during the time interval.

Abstract: Computing devices and method for performing a secure neighbor discovery. A local computing device transmits an encrypted local node identifier and an encrypted local challenge to a remote computing device. The remote computing device generates a local challenge response based on the local challenge; and transmits an encrypted remote node identifier and an encrypted local challenge response to the local computing device. The local computing device determines that the received local challenge response corresponds to an expected local challenge response generated based on the local challenge. The remote computing device further transmits an encrypted remote challenge. The local computing device generates a remote challenge response based on the remote challenge; and transmits an encrypted remote challenge response to the remote computing device. The remote computing device determines that the received remote challenge response corresponds to an expected remote challenge response generated based on the remote challenge.
