    摘要: A recording drum has a clamp groove extending in its circumferential direction formed on its outer peripheral surface. A plurality of front end clamps are attached to the outer peripheral surface of the recording drum. Rear end clamps are attached so as to be movable and so as to be fixable along the clamp groove on the outer peripheral surface of the recording drum. A recording head is disposed ahead of the recording drum, and a clamp driving device is disposed behind the recording drum. The clamp driving device comprises a first driving device for fixing the front end clamps and fixing and releasing the rear end clamps and a second driving device for releasing the front end clamps. The front end clamps and the rear end clamps reliably fix a front end and a rear end of a plate to the outer peripheral surface of the recording drum by a reaction force produced by a spring and a centrifugal force produced by the rotation of the recording drum.

    摘要: A method for automatically processing a job in a prepress printing environment includes the steps of: moving an image receiving substrate from a storage bin to a staging area; moving the image receiving substrate from the staging area into a drum; imaging a predefined area of the image receiving substrate in the drum with a laser while simultaneously moving a next image receiving substrate from the storage bin to the staging area; upon completion of the imaging of the image receiving substrate in the drum, simultaneously (a) moving the image receiving substrate from the drum into a processing area for developing an image on the image receiving substrate, and (b) moving the next image receiving substrate from the staging area into the drum; and finally repeating the above steps until the job is completed. The method optionally includes: offsetting the position of the image receiving substrate to alter the location upon the image receiving substrate where the image will be burned; or offsetting the laser position to alter the location upon the image receiving substrate where the image will be burned. A slug line can also be printed at print time outside of the predefined area, and can include identifying information such as a job name, a print drive job identification, a time stamp, a plane name, a page number and user-defined graphics.

    摘要: In a receiver cassette for web material (1), for example for an exposed film web material, the web material exits out of an optical flying spot scanning device (2). The web material (1) passes into an entrance slot (13a) a light-sealed casing (13). A rotatably supported hub (5) of a spool is disposed in the interior (13b) of the light-sealed casing (13). In order to increase the receiving capacity of web material lengths and in order to allow a fully automatic winding formation there is provided a motor-driven hub (5) of the spool. The hub (5) of the spool exhibits an about centric clamping slot (14). When a clamping slot entrance opening (16) of the hub (5) of the spool is directed substantially in upward direction in a base position (15) the hub (5) of the spool is furnished with position-defining means (18) in the end regions (17) of the hub (5) of the spool. The position-defining means (18) maintain the hub (5) of a spool in rest position in the base position (15). The position-defining means (18) can be switched into a non-interfering state by winding up of the web material (1).
