Abstract:
Provided herein are system, apparatus, device, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for transmitting messages to a display device based on detected audio output from the display device. In a given embodiment, a digital media player can transmit a message to the display device to control the audio output of the speaker using a transmission protocol, and transmit a set of instructions to the remote control device to confirm the display device processed the message by determining whether an attribute associated with the audio output from the speaker is within a predetermined threshold. In response to receiving a message that an attribute associated with the audio output is within a predetermined threshold, the digital media player can determine that the display device is enabled to receive communication via the transmission protocol.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for volume control over intercom trunk lines. One example method includes receiving, from a first keypanel coupled to a first intercom, a call request identifying a remote keypanel coupled to a second intercom. The method includes transmitting a trunk request based on the call request and receiving a trunk setup message. The method includes activating a first crosspoint to provide a two-way audio connection between the first and second intercom devices. The method includes applying a trunk gain value to the first crosspoint based on the remote keypanel and transmitting, with an audio gain based on the trunk gain value, an audio stream received from the first keypanel. The method includes receiving, from the second intercom, a gain adjustment value associated with the first keypanel and the remote keypanel and applying an adjusted trunk gain value to the first crosspoint based on the gain adjustment value.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an emergency vehicle supporting device and system using a drone that resolve forward traffic congestion on a road on which an emergency vehicle is driving via the drone and supports securing of a driving path for the emergency vehicle. According to the present invention, an emergency vehicle supporting device mounted on the emergency vehicle generates drone control information and transmits the generated drone control information to the drone. Further, the drone flies according to the drone control information and a location change of the emergency vehicle and broadcasts an avoidance warning to surrounding vehicles around the flying drone, so that the surrounding vehicles may help the emergency vehicle secure a driving path and thus the emergency vehicle may arrive at a destination within a desired time.
Abstract:
A rugged megaphone comprising a body, two opposing handles and a horn and further comprising a rim bumper attached to the tip of the horn; providing a megaphone of superior durability.
Abstract:
A directional sound system, a method of transmitting sound to a spatial location determined by the gaze of a user and a directional communication system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the directional sound system includes: (1) a direction sensor configured to produce data for determining a direction in which attention of a user is directed, (2) a microphone configured to generate output signals indicative of sound received thereat, (3) loudspeakers configured to convert directed sound signals into directed sound and (4) an acoustic processor configured to be coupled to the direction sensor, the microphone, and the loudspeakers, the acoustic processor configured to convert the output signals to the directed sound signals and employ the loudspeakers to transmit the directed sound to a spatial location associated with the direction.
Abstract:
A sound emitting device (10) for providing at least one new sonic or subsonic frequency as a by-product of emitting a waveform of at least two ultrasonic frequencies whose difference in value corresponds to the desired new sonic or subsonic frequency. The device includes a parametric emitting perimeter or plurality of emitter segments (13) positioned around a central open section (15). This open section (15) is structured with a diagonal width greater than a cross-sectional diagonal of the parametric emitting perimeter. An ultrasonic frequency source (60) and sonic/subsonic frequency generator (62) arc coupled together to a modulating circuit (61) for mixing an ultrasonic frequency signal with an electrical signal corresponding to the at least one new sonic or subsonic frequency. The modulator output is coupled to the emitting perimeter (64) which comprises ultrasonic frequency emitting material for propagating the mixed waveform into air for demodulating the waveform to generate the at least one new sonic or subsonic frequency.

Abstract:
A portable recording and reproducing apparatus is adapted to reproduce a melody recorded on a recording medium such as a magnetic tape and to amplify the melody and voice through a speaker as the voice is inputted from a voice input unit in tune with the melody. The apparatus is formed integrally by incorporating a sound recording medium accommodating portion, the voice input unit, and the speaker via a grip portion, and excels in portability.
Abstract:
A portable audio apparatus allows a user to sing along with the recorded song, the user's voice and recorded song being outputted through a speaker. The apparatus permits the recorded lyrics or recorded tune of the song to be substantially eliminated prior to being reproduced by the speaker. The apparatus can operate in a fast forward or reverse mode and will stop between adjacent songs. A power savings circuit interrupts the supply of power to a motor to stop the latter from continuing to operate on a fast forward or reverse mode.
Abstract:
A dual communication system is disclosed including a microphone for mounting for use by a wearer of a protective face mask, the output signal from the microphone being communicated to both a speaker system for local, audible broadcast and to a transmitter for remote broadcast by radio signal.
