摘要： Systems and methods include a cooking appliance comprising a heating element disposed within a cooking chamber and operable to selectively emit waves at any of a plurality of powers and/or peak wavelengths, a camera operable to capture an image of the cooking chamber, and a computing device operable to supply power to the heating element to vary the power and/or peak wavelength of the emitted waves and generate heat within the cooking chamber, and instruct the camera to capture the image when the heating element is emitting at a stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device is operable to generate an adjusted captured image by adjusting the captured image with respect to the stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device comprises feedback components operable to receive the adjusted captured image, extract features, and analyze the one or more features to determine an event, property, measurement and/or status.

摘要： Most ovens have a window on the door of the oven to allow the user/consumer to see the food inside of the oven while the food is being heated or cooked. By replacing this window with a video screen (flat panel display) and using one or more cameras that is/are pointing inside the oven, the user can view the food on the video screen instead of through the window. Addition of the video screen to the oven as well as adding a computer/microprocessor with connection to internet, and given the typical user/consumer desire to look at the display to see the food being heated or cooked, allows a good medium to present advertising to the user/consumer.

A controller receives and processes a signal indicative of the current state of an associated energy supplying utility for determining whether to operate the microwave oven in one of a normal operating mode and a power saving mode in response to the received signal. A power source is operatively associated with the controller and the RF generation module, and is configured to receive a signal from the controller and cause the microwave oven to operate in normal operating mode or in power saving operating mode in accord with the signal.

摘要： An electronically controlled oven comprises a main body and a remote controller which is separate from said main body. The remote controller includes a scanner for scanning a code representing a recipe and outputting a code signal indicative of the selected recipe, a computer for judging whether this code signal should be transmitted to the main body or not, and a transmitter for transmitting code signals in a wireless form such as by infrared radiation. The main body includes a receiver for receiving the signals from the remote controller and converting it into an electric code signal, memories for storing cooking programs, a main computer for retrieving from the memories a particular cooking program corresponding to the selected recipe and outputting heater-controlling signals according to this particular cooking program, a cooking chamber, heaters for heating items inside this cooking chamber, and a heater-control device for controlling the operation of the heaters according to the heater-control signals from the main computer. This oven makes it easy for the user to set correctly for a large variety of cooking programs.

摘要： Systems and methods for user configurable cooking appliances include receiving system resources having associated budgets, facilitating user allocation the system resources to a plurality of heating elements without exceeding the associate budgets, applying the system resources to the heating elements to heat one or more food substances within a cooking chamber, and selectively regulating delivery of the system resources to the heating elements such that no more than the associated budget of each of the system resources is delivered to the heating elements. Computing components can execute a heating algorithm to cook at least one food substance in the cooking chamber, detect a state change of the food substance, and modify the heating algorithm to reconfigure the system resources supplied to the heating elements in response to the state change and in accordance with user configured allocation and associated budgets for the system resources.
