摘要： A coupling for attaching a seat back to a seat cushion particularly for an automotive seat assembly in which the coupling includes a tapered plate member extending upwardly from the rear of the seat cushion and a housing attached to the frame of the seat back into which the plate member is inserted by moving the seat back down onto the seat cushion. A spring biased wedge is disposed within the housing and biases the plate member toward one side of the housing. When the plate member is fully inserted into the housing, one sidewall of the housing is seated into a recess in the edge of the plate member and held in place by the wedge. Once the sidewall housing is seated in the plate member recess, movement of the housing relative to the plate member is prevented. The seat back is removable for servicing by moving the wedge out of its position holding the plate member in place so as to enable the housing sidewall to be withdrawn from the plate member recess to enable separation of the housing and plate member.

The bosses (94,90) are located on a portion (82) of the male member (74), the sides (84,86) of which abut pins (52,152) when relative rotation of the members (22,74) about the engaged bosses and apertures (94,48; 90,148) occurs, the abutment serving to lever the bosses (94,90) from the apertures (48,148) at a predetermined magnitude of force exerted to cause rotation. The male (74) and female (22) members may also disengage at other predetermined magnitudes of forces exerted upon the arrangement in other directions.

摘要： In a buckle device in which a tongue plate is inserted into a buckle body secured to a vehicle body and is latched to a lock lever disposed in the buckle body, an opening portion of the tongue plate and a pawl of the lock lever are caused to contact with each other at two points spaced in a predetermined distance and a clearance is formed between the opening portion and the pawl in respect of the two points.In an ordinary situation of the vehicle the clearance is kept smooth, and, when a large load acts upon the tongue plate in an emergency situation of the vehicle, the contact portions of the opening portion and the pawl at the two points are deformed, whereby portions of the opening portions and the pawl existing between both the points are caused to contact with each other.Accordingly, the lock lever is capable of being operated with a small force and the tongue plate can be pulled out of the buckle device smoothly.

摘要： A push button lock for a safety belt is described including a first lock part which has an insertion aperture at one end, and a second slide in tongue part which is insertable into the opening in an axially extending plane of the first part. Within the first part there is a receiving housing which includes a web portion with a side wall on each side edge of the web portion which latter has a fixed stop which is engageable on a transverse edge formed on the tongue.A slot is provided in each side wall of the receiving housing and this has a first part which is parallel to the axial plane and a second part inclined with respect thereto. The housing has a push button which is axially slideable therein and this comprises a cross-bar, two side walls which are spaced apart by the cross-bar and a manually actuable portion at the insertion opening end of the lock part. When one presses the manually actuable portion, two elements, which can be part of the cross-bar, slide in these slots to lift the push button so that the cross-bar is raised to release the tongue portion so that the transverse edge can be disengaged from the stop.

摘要： A lock pin mechanism for a negative "G" pilot's harness includes a contoured strap lug received within a metal keeper. A lock pin passes through the keeper and engages the lug. A bearing surface exists between the lug and the keeper so that high upward forces exerted on a negative "G" strap are transmitted to the strap lug but become shared between a lug-pin interface as well as a lug-keeper interface. Thus, binding frictional engagement between pin and lug is avoided so that safe and secure withdrawal of the pin is achieved when required.
