Abstract:
A power drill has a housing holding a motor and a drive member rotatable about an axis. An arbor extending along the axis outside the housing is rotationally coupled by complementary formations with the drive member. A tube shaft on which is fixed a chuck body holding a plurality of axially displaceable jaws. A sleeve in the tube shaft is rotationally coupled to the arbor. A pusher element braced axially forward against the jaws extends axially rearward into the sleeve, and interengaging screwthreads on the sleeve and pusher element axially displace the pusher element and the jaws on relative rotation of the sleeve and pusher element. A setting sleeve rotationally coupled to the rear end of the tube shaft is axially displaceable between a tightening position engaging a slip coupling on the housing and a drilling position disengaged from the slip coupling and rotationally coupled to the arbor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hand-held power tool with a tool clamping unit and an adjustment ring. The invention provides that the adjustment ring protrudes forwards in an axial direction beyond an axially rear end of the tool clamping unit, at least when the tool clamping unit is completely open. The invention further relates to an adjustment ring for a hand-held power tool.
Abstract:
A clamping device for clamping a fastener, includes a clamping jaw, a first biasing member for biasing the clamping jaw, a clamping body having a central axis, a driving assembly for driving the clamping jaw to clamp the fastener, and a second member which can be driven by the first member to move axially relative to the clamping body so as to push the clamping jaw to clamp the fastener. The clamping body is formed with a notch for receiving the clamping jaw and the driving assembly is supported on the clamping body and includes a first member which can rotate and move axially relative to the clamping body. The installation structures between the clamping body, the driving assembly and the clamping jaw may be designed to be more compact so that the clamping device has a smaller size.
Abstract:
A drill chuck including a spindle portion with a pusher bore, a spindle bore, an annular array of teeth, and an annular groove defined by the outer surface of the first end. A body is rotatably disposed about the spindle portion and includes a central bore, an annular groove defined by the central bore, and a pawl pivotably mounted to the body for selectively engaging the annular array of teeth. A jaw pusher includes a threaded post and a head, the threaded post being disposed in the pusher bore and configured for axial motion. A jaw guide is disposed on the first end of the body and includes a plurality of jaw slots. A plurality of jaws is slidably received in the corresponding jaw slots and slidably received by the head of the jaw pusher. A plurality of bearing balls is received between the annular groove of the spindle portion and the annular groove of the body. The annular groove of the spindle portion and the annular groove of the body form a continuous pair of bearing races for the plurality of bearing balls.
Abstract:
A drill has a chuck with a body member and a bore to receive a cutting tool. A plurality of jaw members are coupled with the body to retain the cutting tool in the bore. A mechanism to secure the cutting tool in the jaws is coupled with the body. The mechanism applies a biasing force on the jaw members which enables the jaw members to slide on the body between a locked position securing the cutting tool in the jaw members and an unlocked position which enables egress and ingress of the cutting tool into and out of the jaw members.
Abstract:
A drilling device includes a drill chuck which is provided with at least two adjustable clamping jaws slightly rotatably guided in the drill chuck and including a guide surface for a tool shank of a tool. The guide surface is provided with at least one projection extending in direction of the chuck axis and engaging into a recess of the tool shank for rotating and axially limiting the play of the tool. The projection of each jaw is arranged circumferentially rearwardly offset to the mid-plane of each clamping jaw so that the guide surface is defined by a leading part which is wider than a trailing part in circumferential direction of the tool shank.
Abstract:
An improved quick action keyless drill chuck having a single one-piece outer body which encloses all the other components within its interior, a thrust screw in the form of a hollow cylindrical body divided by a division wall into two cavities, a central body with a central longitudinal bore in two sections screwcut such that the rear section accepts the correspondingly threaded spindle of the drilling machine and the front section, of which the diameter is greater than that of the rear section, accepts the screwthread of the thrust screw, this same central body being provided also with two salient cylinder forms on its outer face which fit precisely into the interior of the single outer body; the drill chuck also having the optional complementary device for operation in percussion with a hammer drill consisting of a helicoidal spring which exerts a continuous pressure on the thrust screw, the force being applied against the division wall.
Abstract:
A coupling to connect the output shaft of a drive motor to an item of equipment has two coupling parts adapted to be connected to the motor and equipment, respectively. One of the coupling parts has adjustable jaws to facilitate connection to a variety of input shaft sizes while the other part is secured to an output shaft of the coupling. Driving motion is transmitted from one part to the other by means of driving dogs and an interposed cruciform member which permits minor misalignment of the shafts and absorbs shock loadings. The coupling parts are supported in assembled relationship by a housing secured to the drive motor and the coupling body.
