    摘要: An overvoltage suppression device which suppresses overvoltage that occurs when breakers which turn on/off the connection between a power source bus and a power transmission line, are turned on after the breakers are turned off. The overvoltage suppression device measures the waveform of voltage on the side of the power source and the voltage on the side of the power transmission line, and extracts the waveform of a component in a predetermined frequency band on the basis of the waveform obtained by multiplying the wave shape of the voltage on the side of the power source by the waveform of the voltage on the side of the power transmission line. The breakers are turned on on the basis of a cycle wherein the waveform is peaked.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for controlling an electrical stimulation system to increase the resolution of the stimulation region with multiple independent power source electrodes is proposed. In the apparatus, the electrode set contains at least three electrodes of which two adjacent electrodes are of the same power polarity to control the location of the composite stimulation signal and the others are of an inverse power polarity to balance the total power polarity and narrow the stimulation region. The method for the apparatus comprises steps of: receiving a target stimulation location and level, generating at least one parameter to adjust power settings of the electrodes, thereby obtaining a composite stimulation signal corresponding to a virtual channel of which a location and level match the target stimulation location and level.

    摘要: A method and circuit to output adaptive drive voltages within information handling systems is disclosed. According to one aspect of the disclosure, a method of outputting power within an information handling system can include sensing a load current of a power output stage operable to employ more than one drive voltage level. The method can also include comparing the load current to a threshold current setting, and selecting a first output drive voltage from a plurality of input drive voltages in response to comparing the load current to the threshold current setting. The method can also include coupling the first output drive voltage to the power output stage.

    摘要: Methods and systems of providing power to a central processing unit (CPU) provide for enhanced surge protection and increased battery life. In one approach, an integrated circuit as a power output stage with an output node, and a voltage regulator coupled to the power output stage. The voltage regulator selectively switches the power output stage into a current ramp down mode based on detection of a voltage surge at the output node. The power output stage has an associated current ramp down rate. The CPU is coupled to the output node and a surge notification input of the power output stage, where the power output stage accelerates the current ramp down based on a notification signal from the CPU.

    摘要: Apparatus built-in backup power supply system has a “peak cut” function for sharing a part of the load current at the time of a peak load using a secondary battery. For this purpose, a two-way DC—DC converter 5 and the secondary battery 4 are installed on the DC output side of the AC-DC converter 3, and that portion of the load current that exceeds a predetermined peak cut level is discharged from the secondary battery 4 during peak loading. When the load is less than the predetermined cut level, the secondary battery 4 is charged from the AC-DC converter 3 via the two-way DC—DC converter 5. A suitable peak cut level is determined according to the state of charge of the secondary battery and load pattern, and is changed dynamically.

    摘要: A low dissipation shunt or series regulator apparatus is described comprising dump switching means coupled in parallel to each power source, which dump switching means is arranged for being responsive to a control signal produced by comparator means arranged for comparing the level of the error signal with a respective reference level. Each power source has its output connected to the reference level input of the corresponding comparator through feedback circuit means in order to set two operation thresholds for the comparator, thereby allowing each dump switching means to switch cyclically between two states, a first state serving to short the corresponding power source and a second state serving to allow the power source to provide current to the load.
