摘要: A system for growing plants in an urban setting is provided. The system includes a container. The container is made of a watertight material. The container includes a base and a sidewall extending from the base forming a receptacle within. The present invention further includes a cell layer. The cell layer includes a horizontal base and a plurality of vertical extending cell walls forming a plurality of water cells therebetween. A porous layer covers the cell layer. The porous layer includes a plurality of pores permitting molecules the size of water and smaller to pass through. The cell layer covered with the porous layer are disposed within the receptacle. The cell layer is then covered with soil.

摘要: A block suitable for use in paving, edging or wall applications comprises a lower portion having parallel, substantially vertical side faces that are spaced apart by a first width, and an upper portion having parallel, substantially vertical side faces that are spaced apart by a second width. The second width is smaller than the first width of the lower portion, and the side faces of the upper portion are angled relative to the side faces of the lower portion. The block further comprises a transition portion between the upper and lower portions, having at least one slanted side extending between one or more sides of the lower portion and one or more sides, respectively, of the upper portion.

摘要: A method of installing a green roof planter assembly includes providing first and second planter modules each including a bottom wall and a plurality of side walls that cooperate with the bottom wall to form an interior space adapted to receive plant matter therein, wherein at least a pair of the plurality of side walls cooperate to form a corner therebetween, the corner defining a length therealong, and each planter module including a first relief located along the length of the first corner, positioning the corners of the planter modules proximate one another, providing a coupling member, and inserting the coupling member into the reliefs of the planter modules, thereby inhibiting vertical movement of the planter modules with respect to one another.
