摘要: The measurement results judging means 80 judges whether or not the measurement of vital signal. In the case where it has been judged that all of the measurements of the vital signal used for the measurement of such plurality of vital-information are normal, since the above-described plurality of vital-information are automatically output from the printer 58, the troublesome works of the printing operation can be omitted, and in the case where it has been judged that the measurement of the vital signals used for the determination of at least one of the vital-information is not normal, the above-described vital-information is not output from the printer 58, therefore, unnecessary vital-information can be prevented from being output from the printer 58.

摘要: Methods and systems of the present invention provide for measurement of various cardiac parameters. Methods generally involve causing a change in volume and/or pressure in a heart chamber, measuring the change, and calculating at least one cardiac parameter based on the change. Systems typically include at least one actuator, at least one sensor, and a catheter or other device for positioning at least partially in a heart chamber. In some embodiments, the system may also include a controller, such as a computer or other processor, an external actuator, an external sensor, and/or an ECG device. Methods and systems of the invention may be used to more accurately diagnose cardiac conditions in order to make more informed treatment decisions.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for noninvasively measuring blood density and hematocrit in a human subject can include an appliance for applying pressure around a segment of a subject's limb or appendage that includes a pressure sensing means and encloses an array of impedance sensing devices applied to the subject's skin for independent fluid volume measurements. While applying pressure to the limb segment by the pressure appliance, measurements of blood pressure, blood pulse wave velocity, and limb segment impedance are recorded. The measurements are subsequently processed to yield changes of arterial blood volume during pulse wave passage. Then pressure, wave velocity, and derived volume data are combined to yield the density of the blood. Blood density is converted to hematocrit by means of a linear relationship between the two. Independent of the blood hematocrit, such apparatus and means may also be used to measure the density of enclosed fluid in other pulsed flow non-rigid wall vessel systems.

摘要: A wrist-worn apparatus capable of sensing pulsation of blood in the blood tubes of a user's wrist with high accuracy. The apparatus comprises a body of the apparatus, a band to be used to wear the body of the apparatus on the user's wrist, and a fluid-containing pulsation-sensing fluid chamber provided on the user's wrist side of the case. A part of an outer wall that defines the fluid chamber comprises an elastically deformable member that is elastically deformed depending on pulsation of blood transmitted from the band to thereby change the fluid pressure within the fluid chamber. A deformation preventing member is bonded by vulcanization to a part of a side of the deformable member that will come into contact with the user's wrist for preventing the part of the deformable member from being elastically deformed.

摘要: An electronic sphygmomanometer, comprising a processor, a pressure sensor coupled to said processor, a cuff coupled to said pressure sensor, an inflating and quick releasing unit coupled to said cuff and a slow deflating device. The inflating and quick releasing unit has a driving element (motor), an inflating device, and a quick releasing device, and the driving element (motor) drives the inflating device in one direction to inflate air into the cuff and increase the pressure after receiving an inflating signal from the processor. The slow deflating device deflates the air in the cuff to adjust the pressure after the pressure reaches a predetermined setting. After the measurements are completed, the driving element (motor) instructs the quick releasing device in the inflating and quick releasing unit to rotate in the opposite direction to quickly discharge the air remaining in the cuff. Such arrangement constitutes an inflating and quick releasing device that can be inflated and quickly deflated.

摘要: An arteriosclerosis evaluating apparatus 10 includes an arteriosclerosis evaluating means 46 (Steps S7, S8, S9, and S10) that evaluates arteriosclerosis of a living subject, based on a relationship between difference nullP of internal and external pressure of an artery of the subject in the state in which the pressure difference nullP is in equilibrium, and amplitude AM of a pulse wave produced from the artery. Therefore, the present apparatus 10 can as easily as possible evaluate the arteriosclerosis of the subject based on a characteristic curve 58 representing the relationship between in-equilibrium pressure difference nullP and pulse-wave amplitude AM which curve is obtained from a pressing pressure Pc of a cuff 12 wound around a certain portion of the subject, and the pulse wave produced from the artery.
