摘要： The present invention provides a process for producing spherical catalyst carrier of silica, silica-alumina composition, zirconia-alumina composition, titania-alumina composition, boria-alumina composition, or boria-silica-alumina composition which has almost the same pore characteristics as alumina hydrate gel, silica-alumina hydrate gel, zirconia-alumina hydrate gel, or titania-alumina hydrate gel (or alumina hydrate paste, boria-alumina hydrate paste, or boria-silica-alumina hydrate paste) as the major raw material, has uniform sphericity and smooth surface and homogeneity, and has a macropore volume that can be controlled. The process comprises adding a polysaccharide solution to any of alumina, silica-alumina, zirconia-alumina, or titania-alumina in the form of hydrate gel, or alumina, boria-alumina, or boria-silica-alumina in the form of hydrate paste, mixing them to form a slurry with a controlled concentration, dropping the slurry into a solution containing multivalent metal ions, thereby forming spherical hydrogel, and performing the additional steps of aging, washing, drying, and calcining.

摘要： Disclosed is a process for opening naphthenic rings of naphthenic ring-containing compounds, along with catalysts which can be used in that process. The ring opening is accomplished using a ring opening catalyst comprising Ir on a composite support of alumina and acidic silica-alumina molecular sieve. The ring opening activity is not significantly deactivated by exposure to oxygen at greater than about 250° C.

摘要： A catalyst with a high sulphur tolerance for the hydrogenation of middle distillate aromatics which comprises as a support (a) an alumina, the surface of which has been modified by contacting it with a silicon-containing compound, or (b) a silica, the surface of which has been modified by contacting it with an aluminum-containing compound. The support has been treated with air, oxygen or water vapor at an elevated temperature in order to convert the said silicon-containing compound or the said aluminum-containing compound to oxide form. The hydrogenating component of the catalyst is one or more metals of the platinum group.
