Abstract:
A fixture for axially compressing an axially compressible tube. The fixture comprises two, spaced apart clamp blocks for receiving and clamping the tube against relative movement in the blocks, and a base structure for supporting such blocks, with at least one of the blocks being slideable thereon. A device is provided for effecting relative translation of the blocks on the base structure to longitudinally compress and shorten the tube.
Abstract:
A clamping device which includes a fixed member, a movable member and a threaded shaft passing through the members for pressing an object therebetween. A pressing head having external threads which are finer than the threads of the shaft is placed on the threaded shaft. A pressing cap having internal threads complementary to the threads of the pressing head surrounds the head. This cap provides stronger pressing power upon the object being clamped after the threaded shaft has been moved. A relatively small bolt head formation is formed on the threaded shaft and a relatively large fitting is formed on the pressing head. A handle is provided having a relatively small socket formed therein for being removably received on the relatively small bolt formation providing torque therefore, and a relatively large socket formed therein for being removably received on the relatively large fitting providing torque therefore.
Abstract:
A rigid container for transporting flexible sachets of bio-pharmaceutical fluid having a volume of 50 liters or more has a bottom wall and one or more lateral walls. At the top it has a contention plate for the sachet adjustable in height to compress the sachet.
Abstract:
An improved die for use in casting of fused impregnated discs for infrared spectroscopic analysis, particularly where air and moisture are a problem. The improvement resides in the combination of a removably fastened base on a threaded die body and a single threaded plunger to fit the bore of the die. When the base is fastened to the die body, it acts as a supporting structure for an anvil seated at the bottom of the threaded die bore. In operation the impregnated salt to be pelleted is introduced into the threaded die bore onto the anvil positioned at the bottom of the bore, being secured in the bore by the fastened removable base. The plunger is thereafter screwed into the threaded bore until sufficient pressure is applied to produce a salt disc or pellet between the anvil and the plunger. The base is then removed and by turning the plunger a few more times, both the anvil and the fused disc are ejected from the die.
Abstract:
A hand-operated screw press for users to press cannabis flower or isolated trichome heads without an air compressor, hydraulic unit or solvents used in the process. A digital load cell is provided, as is a full color LCD touch screen display for showing and recording force in real time. A mechanism for detecting the end point of a process is also provided. A recipe representative of heat plate temperature, time of operation, pressure ramping, capacity of the screw press, type of raw material, or mass of raw material can be created and stored for use on any suitable rosin press machine.
Abstract:
A compression device allows for compressing a carbonated beverage container, for maintaining the container in a compressed state, and for releasing the container from the compressed state when desired. In one embodiment, the compression device (100) includes a first frame (101), a second frame (102), a first linking frame (103) and a second linking frame (104). The frames are joined together by hinge connectors (111, 112, 113, and 114), forming a quadrilateral enclosure or compression assembly that accepts a PET bottle. A hinge controller (119), associated with the first hinge connector (111), is operative to control compression and release of the bottle.
Abstract:
Provided is a device for improving perovskite film formation uniformity, including a grinder and a sheeter, wherein the grinder grinds a perovskite precursor into a powder, the sheeter presses the ground precursor powder into a precursor sheet, the sheeter includes a mold for pressing the precursor powder and a heating device, and the heating device heats a lower mold. A method of using the above device for improving perovskite film formation uniformity, and a method of preparing a perovskite solar cell are also provided. The precursor sheet prepared herein not only solves the problems of uneven particle size and uneven spreading at the bottom of the evaporation source or incomplete coverage, but also prevents splashing during vacuuming and aeration, and meanwhile, since the precursor powder is compacted, it is more conducive to the uniform conduction of heat during the heating and evaporation process, thereby improving the heat energy use efficiency.
