    摘要: A bonding structure of check-valves to a fluid container and a production apparatus of fluid container which is capable of reliably keeping the expansion of the fluid container without any fluid leakage after inflating the fluid container. As the check-valve is bonded to only one of thermoplastic container films, both films of the check-valve is fixed to one of the container films, thereby preventing the reverse flow by tightly closing the check valve. As a result, the expansion of the fluid container is reliably maintained after the fluid container is inflated. The manufacturing apparatus includes an up-down roller controller which precisely positions the film to form the check valve. As a result, the manufacturing apparatus can produce the fluid container having the reliable check valves.

    摘要: Thin-walled rubber articles for use contact with living tissue or with materials to be delivered to living tissue are prepared from aqueous latex of either natural rubber or synthetic cis-1,4-polyisoprene by vulcanization to produce both carbon-carbon and carbon-(sulfur)n-carbon crosslinks, the vulcanization being performed in the absence of any compounding components that contain secondary amine groups or any components that have a tendency to produce nitrosamines. While sulfur activators may be included, it is preferable that no sulfur accelerators at all be included. Thin-walled rubber articles formed from the latex surprisingly exhibit a combination of high tensile strength, high ultimate percent elongation, and low 500% tensile modulus. The process is particularly effective in the manufacture of thin-walled articles from synthetic cis-1,4-polyisoprene.

    摘要: A biocide containing laminate for use in the construction of a wide variety of products. A preferred product is a pouch or other container for forming an envelope protectively packaging a product such as a flowable or solid food substance. The pouch is fabricated from a paper-plastic laminate sheeting whose plies have different properties that depend on package requirements, at least one ply in the laminate being an oriented, synthetic plastic film of high tensile strength. The plies are adhesively laminated at ambient temperature with a water-based adhesive whereby the orientation of the film is unaffected by the laminating process, in the course of which no environmentally objectionable fumes are discharged into the atmosphere. The biocide is associated with the paper material or water-based adhesive of the laminate in an amount sufficient to render it resistant to attack from organisms. The plastic film protects and retains the biocide in the laminate. The laminate may be made into an organism-resistant tape, a water-resistant envelope, or a package for mailing various materials.

Optionally, the first and/or second outer film members may be narrower, coextensive, or extend beyond one or both of the first and second tube edges of the lay-flat tube member. In a bag embodiment a lateral seal is provided through the first and second tube walls and the first and second outer film members and extends laterally across the width of at least the lay-flat tube member. Methods of manufacturing such rollstock and bags are also disclosed.
