摘要: A novel arrangement of a steering axle for a land vehicle having a hydrostatic drive system, wherein a hydraulic motor assembly is directly mounted on a steerable wheel of the axle and adapted to be movable with the wheel, is disclosed. The steering axle comprises a pair of kingpin assemblies pivotally mounting steering knuckles to axle yokes. An upper kingpin assembly pivotally attaches the steering knuckle to the axle yoke, and, at the same time, provides a hydraulic swivel coupling between the wheel mounted hydraulic motor and the rest of the hydrostatic drive system of mounted on the vehicle, that prevents the bending of the hydraulic hoses conveying hydraulic fluid, by steering movements of the front steerable wheels.

摘要: An individualized golf cart comprises a golf cart body supported off the ground a pair of front steering wheels and a pair of rear driving wheels. The cart further includes a mounting structure for retaining a golf bag on the cart. A steering system is operatively coupled to the steering wheels to steer the golf cart. A propulsion system including a motor and power supply are operatively coupled to the wheels to drive the golf cart. A brake system is operatively coupled to the wheels to slow and/or stop the golf cart. A platform is attached to the cart body adjacent the driving wheels and extends rearwardly therefrom to support a person in an upright position behind the driving wheels. The platform includes a safety enclosure defining an operating station which includes access to controls for the steering system, propulsion system and brake system. The platform provides a short step to the ground, the golf bag being within reach of the golfer upon exiting the operating station.

摘要: A vehicle drive assembly with a drivable wheel pivotably connected to a body, about an axis substantially transverse to the body, by first and second swing arms. One of the swing arms houses a motor and includes a heat dissipating member in thermally conductive association with the motor. The heat dissipating member preferably a plurality of cooling fins exposed to ambient air. The motor is housed in an end of the first swing arm opposite the body, and has a shaft that is directly engaged to a transmission within the wheel. The transmission is contained within a gearbox housing that rotates with the wheel and is formed by left and right structural gearbox halves. A wheel rim, configured to carry a tire, is attachable only to the first gearbox half, and can slide over the second half when removed from the gearbox housing, allowing the transmission to remain assembled. The interior of the gearbox housing contains a lubricant, and a vent is formed generally parallel to the motor shaft and extending through the first swing arm. Preferably, the second swing arm is detachable from the transmission while remaining substantially stationary in a direction substantially coaxial with the axle. Also, the transmission preferably includes a planetary gear reduction unit, in which planetary gears are mounted on a gear carrier that is configured to prevent rotation caused by the motor.

The plurality of narrow disc assemblies include first and second narrow disc assemblies. A first independent drive mechanism applies a rotational force to the first narrow disc assembly to produce a first speed. A second independent drive mechanism applies a rotational force to the second narrow disc assembly to produce a second speed unequal to the first speed during a vehicle turn to minimize wheel assembly scrub.

摘要: In a wheel drive with a radial-piston motor (5) and a planet gear (4) a wheel hub (3) being placed on a wheel hub support (1) by means of wheel bearings (10). The wheel hub support (1) can be joined to a transmission connector (4) in a single piece and is fastened to a vehicle chassis support. A dog tooth brake (7) is located on the side of the wheel drive facing the vehicle and serves as parking brake. In a cover (2) for a hydraulic connection of the radial-piston motor (5) are integrated valves for control of the radial-piston motor (5) and of the brake (7). Short lines and delay times occur as result. The cover (2) contains inter alia a brake valve (58) for a hydraulic brake function and a displacement change-over valve (64) enabling certain cylinders (70) of the radial-piston motor (5) to be switched on or off.

摘要: An electronic traction control system for a vehicle having multiple hydraulically driven wheels includes a pump, a plurality of hydraulic drive motors each fluidly connected to the pump for driving one of the wheels, a corresponding plurality of speed sensors for generating a motor speed signal for each of the motors, and an electronic flow control valve. The electronic flow control valve includes a microcontroller electrically connected to the speed sensors for receiving and comparing the motor speed signals and a plurality of normally open anti-slip valves each electrically connected to the microcontroller for receiving a flow command signal therefrom based upon comparison of the motor speed signals. Each anti-slip valve fluidly connects to a drive motor between the drive motor and the pump. This electronic traction control system provides a method of controlling motor speed without changing the displacement of the motor.
