Abstract: A wearable may be provided with or configured to provide interactive skin. The interactive skin may be configured for accepting touch input from a user. The interactive skin may include one or more flexible layers and may include or be mounted under a transparent display cover layer such as a layer of clear glass or plastic. Interactive skin may include a touch-sensitive layer that allows a user to provide touch input to the wearable. Display pixels on interactive skin may be used to display visual information to the user. The interactive skin may be configured for detecting a condition of at least one wearable and generating an output function in response to the detected condition.

Abstract: A retractable barrier that helps prevent the spread of communicable disease includes a first outer surface that faces a first direction, a second outer surface that faces a second direction opposite the first direction, and a filter layer between the first outer surface and the second outer surface. The filter layer includes a particulate filtering material. The barrier is selectively extendable from a compartment to establish a partition that separates individuals on opposite sides of the partition.

The method may also include transmitting the control signal to a control device, wherein the control device performs a specified task.

Abstract: A system is disclosed for keeping rats and similar pests away without trapping or killing them. It provides a long-life battery powered LED light system for deterring rats, mice and other nocturnal animals. Embodiments of the present invention are designed to operate continuously for at least one year between battery changes. Embodiments have been proven to deter rats from invading engine compartments of parked motor vehicles, vegetable gardens, attics, garages and outdoor patios. In preferred embodiments the wavelengths of the LEDs are chosen to correspond to the known wavelength sensitivity peaks of the eyes of rats, mice, and other rodents. This new technology transcends traps.

Abstract: A wheel bolt torque monitoring system for a vehicle includes a torque sensor disposed at each bolt that is used to mount a wheel at a wheel mount of a vehicle. A transmitting device is disposed at the wheel mount of the vehicle, and the transmitting device receives data from the torque sensors at the wheel mounted at the wheel mount. The transmitting device transmits data to a control unit, which processes data received from the transmitting device to determine when a torque at a bolt is below a threshold torque level. Responsive to the control unit determining that a torque at a bolt is below the threshold torque level, the control unit generates an alert.

Abstract: A system for assisting with vehicle traffic stops wherein a first vehicle stops a second vehicle is provided. The system includes a control system structured to be operative from within the first vehicle and an arm assembly structured to be coupled to the first vehicle. The arm assembly includes a telescoping arm member, a drive system, and a remote assembly coupled to a distal end of the arm member. The remote assembly includes a number of electronic devices for (i) collecting information at or from a location adjacent the remote assembly and providing the information to the control system and (ii) enabling two-way communication between the first vehicle and the location, wherein the arm member is structured to be selectively elongated and retracted by the drive system under control of the control system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to systems, methods, and apparatus that facilitate exercise in vehicles. In particular, the present invention provides active exercise in passenger and navigation areas in vehicles by incorporating force sensors in the environment surrounding the passenger and/or navigator in the vehicle. The present invention applies the principles of isometric training and interacts with a remote or on-board computer platform to track, measure and provide instruction to the passage and/or navigator engaged in such isometric training.
