Abstract: A vehicular automated parking system includes a camera having a field of view rearward of the vehicle. When the vehicle is parked in a parking space, with a forward vehicle parked in front of the vehicle and a rearward vehicle parked behind the vehicle, the vehicular automated parking system determines a forward limit of the parking space responsive to a driver of the vehicle driving the vehicle forward until a front end of the vehicle is close to the forward vehicle. Responsive to the determined forward limit of the parking space, and responsive to processing by an image processor of image data captured by the camera, the vehicular automated parking system controls the vehicle when the vehicle is leaving the parking space in a manner that avoids the forward vehicle parked in front of the vehicle and the rearward vehicle parked behind the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular driving assist system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at a vehicle and an image processor that processes captured image data. With a trailer equipped with at least one trailer camera hitched to the vehicle, a display screen displays video images derived from captured image data. The system determines a reversing path for the vehicle and trailer to follow to assist the driver in backing up the trailer, and generates a graphic overlay at the display screen that indicates the determined reversing path. During the backing up maneuver of the trailer hitched to the vehicle, and responsive to determination of an object rearward of the trailer, the system (i) determines an adjusted reversing path to avoid the object and (ii) adjusts the graphic overlay to indicate the adjusted reversing path of the vehicle and trailer for the driver to follow in backing up the trailer.

Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes a camera having an imager and a lens. The camera is disposed at an exterior portion of a vehicle and has a field of view exterior of the vehicle. An air flow element has an inlet port and an outlet port, with the outlet port configured to direct air flow in front of the lens to direct debris away from the lens. The outlet port is configured to direct air flow at a velocity that is greater than a velocity of air flow that is flowing into the inlet port. The inlet port may have an inlet area that is substantially greater than an outlet area of the outlet port. The system may include an air flow generating device for generating or enhancing air flow through the air flow device.

Abstract: A vehicular display system includes a camera that is disposed in a vehicle and that views a hand of a driver of the vehicle. A heads up display system establishes a heads up display viewable by the driver and derived at least in part from image data captured by the camera. The heads up display includes (i) information representative of user actuatable inputs for controlling at least one accessory of the vehicle and (ii) images representative of at least a part of the driver's hand. The images representative of at least a part of the driver's hand are derived at least in part from image data captured by the camera. Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes a rear backup camera that is operable to capture image data. The rear backup camera is configured to be disposed at the vehicle so as to have a rearward field of view. The rear backup camera has an imager and a wide angle lens, which is disposed at the imager with its center axis offset from a center region of the imager so as to be disposed at and to image at an upper region of the imager. A distant central horizon region is imaged at the upper region of the imager and a closer region is imaged at the center region and the lower region of the imager. Video images derived from image data captured by the rear backup camera are displayed on a video display for viewing by a driver of the vehicle during the reversing maneuver of the vehicle.

Abstract: A camera for a vision system of a vehicle includes a housing having a front housing portion and a rear housing portion and configured to be disposed at a vehicle so as to have a field of view interior or exterior of the vehicle. The camera includes a connector portion for electrically connecting circuitry of the camera to an electrical connector of the vehicle when the camera is disposed at the vehicle. The front housing portion houses a lens assembly. A MID (Molded Interconnect Device) frame includes electrically conductive traces and is integrated in the rear housing portion with circuit board connecting elements and connector connecting elements exposed at an inner surface of the rear housing portion. The connector portion includes terminals that contact respective exposed connector connecting elements of the MID frame to electrically connect the connector portion terminals to circuitry of the circuit board via the MID frame.

Abstract: A system for mitigating contamination of a lens of an exterior vehicular camera includes a passive air flow device disposed at the vehicle and configured to passively direct air flow across an outer surface of a lens of the camera to establish a passive air stream curtain. An active air flow device is operable to actively propel air across the outer surface of the lens of the camera to establish an active air stream curtain. A control is operable to activate and deactivate the active air flow device. When the vehicle is driven at a speed of travel below a threshold level, the control activates the active air flow device to actively propel air across the outer surface of the lens of the camera. When the vehicle is in motion, the passive air stream curtain deflects polluting particles away from the outer surface of the lens of the camera.
