    摘要: A buoyage for emergency communication and a corresponding rescue method are provided. The buoyage for emergency communication includes: a positioning device, a buoyancy block, a plurality of compression springs, an optical fiber, a reel, a frame, an optical fiber slip ring, a pure iron disk, an optical fiber connector and an oil-filled electromagnet, wherein the positioning device is fixed on a top portion of the buoyancy block, and is configured to emit a position signal of itself when the buoyage returns to a surface of water; the buoyancy block is provided above the frame, wherein the compression springs are provided between the buoyancy block and the frame; the pure iron disk is fixedly on a center of a bottom portion of the buoyancy block. The oil-filled electromagnet is adsorbed to the pure iron disk after being energized to limit a vertical displacement of the buoyancy block.

    摘要: An underwater load-carrier is disclosed that includes an underwater-balloon detachably attached to a container that is loaded with ballast. The underwater load-carrier is lowered into the water of an ocean and allowed to descend to the ocean bottom and there connected a mining-vehicle. The mining-vehicle loads mined nodules into the container while the container ejects ballast to maintain the container at a specified altitude above the ocean bottom. When nodule loading is complete, nodules and/or ballast is ejected to allow underwater load-carrier to rise to the ocean surface where mined nodules is unloaded from the container.

    摘要: A swim and skin-dive snorkel for providing positive end-expiratory pressure for pressure-balanced exhalation.The snorkel may include inhalation and exhalation conduits. Air can be exhaled into a chamber and released when exhalation pressure within the chamber exceeds a threshold pressure. The threshold pressure that must be overcome to achieve exhalation may be balanced against the compressive forces of the ambient water pressure acting against the user's chest and lungs, which may greatly reduce the resting expiratory flow rate, the minute respiratory rate, and therefore the overall work of breathing. The exhalation pressure may be linearly matched to the ambient water pressure as a function of dive depth, thereby discouraging exhalation while diving. A purge valve may also be placed at the lower aspect of the snorkel.

    摘要: A diver's rescue apparatus includes a fillable buoyancy element and a breathing bag into which respiratory gas mixture is metered from a compressed gas source is to be expanded to a range of use for greater diving depths, for example up to 150 to 200 m.
