A patient support system with chest compression system and harness assembly with sensor system. The harness assembly secures shoulders and hips of the patient on a patient support surface during transport. A chest compression system is integrated into the harness assembly in a manner that provides chest compressions to the patient while the patient is secured on the patient support surface. The tension of the harness assembly is selectively adjusted and/or a fluid bladder may be selectively expanded. A controller is in communication with the chest compression system and controls operation of the chest compression system. The sensor system is integrated into the harness assembly and in communication with the controller. The chest compression system may be removable from the harness assembly via an adapter. The chest compression system may be integrated into the patient support apparatus to secure the patient to the patient support surface while providing chest compressions.

A system for monitoring performance of a resuscitation activity on a patient by an acute care provider is provided. The system includes: a first wearable sensor configured to sense movement of a first portion of an acute care provider's hand; a second wearable sensor configured to sense movement of a second portion of the acute care provider's hand; and a controller. The controller is configured to: receive and process signals representative of performance of a resuscitation activity from the first sensor and the second sensor; identify from the processed signals information indicative of at least one of a relative distance, a relative orientation, a change in relative distance and a change in relative orientation between the first sensor and the second sensor during performance of the resuscitation activity; and determine at least one resuscitation activity parameter based, at least in part, on the identified information.

The invention relates to a respiratory-aid apparatus (1) capable of supplying a stream of gas to a patient (P), comprising a gas-transport pipe (2) for transporting a stream of gas, such as air; measurement means (6) designed to measure at least one parameter representing the stream of gas and to supply at least one signal corresponding to said at least one parameter representing said stream of gas, for example the gas flow rate or pressure; signal-processing means (8) designed to process said at least one signal from the measurement means (6) and to deduce therefrom at least one piece of information (I1, I2, I3) characterising a cardiac massage performed on a patient; and display means (7) designed to display said at least one piece of information (I1, I2, I3) characterising a cardiac massage from the signal-processing means (8). The signal-processing means (8) are preferably capable of determining information representing the work (WV, WT) provided by the massage or pressure and/or flow rate amplitudes resulting from the massage. The invention also relates to a monitoring method capable of being implemented by such a respiratory-aid apparatus (1).

A cellular influence system. The novel cellular influence system includes an isolation chamber, a solution disposed within the chamber for supporting a user in a state of floatation, and a source generator for applying cymatic frequencies to the user via the floatation solution. In an illustrative embodiment, the system is adapted to apply cymatic frequencies that stimulate activity in a specific region or regions of the brain to induce a higher state of consciousness capable of increased learning abilities, and a visual display unit designed to minimize splay such that the interior of the isolation chamber remains dark is provided within the chamber for delivering information to be learned to the user during the induced state. Optionally, the system may also include a neural monitor for measuring neural activity in the user and adaptively adjusting the cymatic frequencies applied to the user based on the measured activity.

The present invention relates to an exercising apparatus for stretching of the calf muscle, comprising a foot support arranged with an inclination (α). On one side on the foot support a bar extends in a vertical direction and is rotatably arranged in a joint on the foot support. The bar comprises a handle part and a supporting part. The supporting part extends at least around a part of the calf, where stretching of a calf muscle on the user can be achieved by moving the bar forward towards a first part of the foot support while a heel part of the user is secured at the foot support.
