摘要: A coaxial rotor pair assembly, e.g., for a flight vehicle or drone, with a fixed-pitch rotor and a variable-pitch rotor that are axially spaced relative to one another on a rotor axis for rotation via rotor shafts. A first motor and a second motor are provided for the rotors to drive the respective rotor about the rotor axis. The first and second motors are each controlled by a speed controller, and speed controllers are controlled by a vehicle flight controller. A collective pitch of the plurality of blades of the variable-pitch rotor is configured to be selectively varied by the vehicle flight controller during rotation of both the fixed-pitch rotor and the variable-pitch rotor about the rotor axis. The plurality of blades of the fixed-pitch rotor are maintained a constant, fixed pitch, e.g., during operation of the flight vehicle.

摘要: An apparatus providing continuous tilt and variable pitch for rotors on a fixed wing VTOL aircraft. An actuator on a housing rotates a first pivot point on a motor mount to tilt a motor to horizontal and vertical positions. Simultaneously, an actuator on the motor mount rotates a fork on a second pivot point on the motor mount to adjust the pitch of the rotors attached to a free end of the motor's drive shaft. A lower swash plate on the drive shaft is attached to the fork. An upper swash plate on the drive shaft is attached to the rotors. The swash plates are attached to each other with a shaft bushing attached to a shaft ball bearing. The shaft bushing allows both swash plates to move linearly along the shaft when the fork is rotated. The shaft ball bearing allows the upper swash plate to rotate with the drive shaft while the lower swash plate remains stationary.

摘要: An improved propeller system is disclosed, including at least one resilient component configured with a mounting arrangement of a propeller of the propeller system. The resilient component is made of a resilient material that allows the propeller to tilt about a tethering axis under conditions of differential lift force on blades of the propeller under an advancing condition and a retreating condition. The resilient component includes a pair of cutouts for locating inserts made of a rigid material and positioned with a longitudinal axis of the inserts oriented in radial direction. The orientation of the inserts results in a radially oriented line contact between the propeller and the inserts to ensure that tilting of the propeller is about longitudinal axis of the inserts, defining the tethering axis of the propeller system.

摘要: Rotorcraft including a fuselage and at least three rotor system arms each having a rotor system. Each rotor system includes a mast having at least two rotor blades and an electric rotor motor. At least one rotor system arm includes a support mechanism for pivotally supporting a floating mast about at least one pivot axis whereby the floating mast is tillable relative to a fiducial tilt position. The floating mast has a controllable cyclic rotor blade pitch. A mast tilt measurement mechanism provides a mast tilt feedback signal regarding a measured tilt position of a floating mast relative to its fiducial tilt position. A flight control system continuously controls the at least three electric rotor motors and the floating masts cyclic rotor blade pitch in response to a desired input maneuver and its mast tilt feedback signal.

摘要: A tilt rotor-based linear multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) structure for crop protection and a control method thereof are provided. The tilt rotor-based linear multi-rotor UAV structure for crop protection includes main lift power structures, tilt power structures, and a main frame structure, where the main frame structure is located in a middle; the main lift power structures are distributed at left and right ends of the main frame structure; and the tilt power structures are symmetrically distributed between the main frame structure and the main lift power structures. A vector power structure is adopted to ensure flexible attitude changes and smoother and more accurate UAV operations, and improve the operation efficiency. Meanwhile, the tilt rotor-based linear multi-rotor UAV structure is adapted to the complex working environment in China's ever-changing terrains.

摘要: A tandem tiltrotor aircraft in which the tiltrotor assemblies are operably coupled at the forward and aft ends of the fuselage of the aircraft is disclosed. The tiltrotor assemblies are capable of rotating between a vertical lift position and a horizontal flight position. The in-line location of the tiltrotor assemblies allow the aircraft to have the vertical take-off and landing capabilities, and, in combination with the at least one wing, can be used in horizontal flight. The aft rotor assembly can assume a horizontal flight position that places the rotor blades forward of a vertical fin of the aircraft. In another embodiment, a winged triple tiltrotor aircraft is disclosed. In another embodiment, a winged quad tiltrotor aircraft is disclosed.

The flying devices may connect together to form a flying system having multiple flight modes with varying orientations. The flying system may disaggregate the flying devices in flight.
