摘要： An auxiliary brake assembly for use in a hoist, is disclosed. The auxiliary brake assembly comprises a pinion, a fastener, and a clutch assembly. The pinion may comprise a mesh gear disposed proximate a respective mesh gear of a rotor gear. The clutch assembly may be disposed between the fastener and the mesh gear. The fastener may be configured to compress the clutch assembly in the event a cable drum of the hoist is free spinning. The compression of the clutch may lock the pinion and the rotor gear and stop the cable drum from spinning freely.

摘要： A drive train is provided for hoisting gears, and in particular for hazardous transports. The drive train includes a drive motor (1), a cable drum (6) connected thereto, a reduction transmission (5) arranged between the drive motor (1) and the cable drum (6), a service brake (4) provided between the drive motor (1) and the reduction transmission (5) and a safety brake (7). To prevent damage to the reduction transmission (5) in the event of an emergency stop braking an automatic overrun disconnect means can be provided between the drive motor (1) and the service brake (4). The overrun disconnect means is preferably in the form of a freewheel (2).

摘要： The present invention is directed to a self-locking non-backdrivable gear system. The gear system may comprise a primary motor input and self-lubricating gear box. The primary motor input is for rotation of the gearbox about the axis of a drive shaft. The gearbox may comprise an input ring gear, one or more planet locking gears, fixed spur gear, and output spur gear. In operation, rotation of the primary motor input causes rotation of the ring gear which causes rotation of the planet locking gear which causes rotation of the output spur gear which causes rotation of the drive shaft. However, in the absence of rotation of the ring gear, a rotational force applied to the output spur gear causes the gear teeth on the fixed and output spur gears to lock the planet gear in place.

摘要： A clutch comprising a pump is disclosed. The pump is operatively connected to the clutch such that a clutch slip event will cause the pump to delivery fluid from a fluid source to a region surrounding the friction plates of the clutch. The operation of the pump manages heat that is generated by the dynamic friction of the slipping clutch plates. The pump and associated fluid delivery methods are removably securable to an upstream end of an input shaft of the clutch. This allows the pump and associated fluid delivery methods to be used as modular components, that are easy to remove and replace for maintenance purposes, it also allows easier access to the internals of the clutch for maintenance.
