    Abstract: A cable tensioning capstan assembly comprises a capstan drum and at least a first traction flange. The capstan drum may be configured to support a cable (e.g., a cable is configured to wrap around the capstan drum), and the capstan drum may be configured to rotate about an output axis. The first traction flange may be disposed adjacent the first axial end of the capstan drum and configured to rotate about the output axis. In various embodiments, the first traction flange is independently rotatable relative to the capstan drum. A clutch assembly between an input shaft and the first traction flange may facilitate the independent rotatability of the first traction flange.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a cable winch (100) for an aircraft or vehicle. The cable winch (100) has a central module (110), which can be or is attached to the aircraft or vehicle.     Abstract: The present invention provides a powered winch retrieval system for harvested big game that can be configured either as a small trailer attachable to a vehicle via a hitch, or as a cantilevered unit couplable to a standard vehicle receiver hitch. The winch incorporates a frame that supports an internal combustion engine having a centrifugal clutch or constant velocity transmission (CVT) mounted thereon, a jack shaft chain driven by the centrifugal clutch or CVT for speed reduction and torque amplification, an output shaft on which is mounted a cable take-up spool, a norm ally-on disc brake assembly mounted on the final output shaft, a combination brake release and throttle lever, and an optional oscillating level-wind assembly. The level-wind assembly, which incorporates a linear ball-bearing bushing, ensures that the cable used to retrieve harvested game winds evenly on the take-up spool.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for providing lifting workers up cell towers are disclosed. The system is useful on “stealth” cellular towers that do not have external ladders or climbing pegs for aesthetic reasons. The system can include a cable, a system of pulleys, and an internal or external winch. The cable can include a counterweight to enable the cable to be paid out from a storage position at the top of the tower down to the ground under its own weight. Workers can attach a harness or a basket to the cable. The winch can then pull the cable, worker, and/or basket to the top of the tower. The winch can be installed on site or can be provided by an on-site service vehicle. The system can also include a fall arrest system to prevent falls in the event of a component failure.

    Abstract: The invention provides a belt axle connecting piece of a winch and a manufacturing method in the field of mechanical technologies. The winch comprises a bracket and a belt axle axially arranged on the winch, wherein the belt axle includes three rods arranged along the axial direction. Bundling belts or ropes can be placed within the clearance between any two adjacent rods.
