The base section comprises a base cavity capable of receiving a base portion of a jar, an inflatable grip within the base cavity, and a pump configured to inflate the inflatable grip, the inflatable grip configured to extend in a radially inward direction of the base cavity upon inflation and engage the base portion of the jar to form a grip, when the jar is positioned in the base cavity. The top section comprises a lid gripping mechanism and a lid rotation mechanism. The at least one motor is configured to operate at least one of the pump, the lid gripping mechanism, the rotation mechanism, or the height adjustment mechanism, and the control panel is configured to power the at least one motor.

    摘要: According to the present invention, the oil filter replacement device has a number of pins for clamping an oil filter, and the pins are extended eccentrically from corresponding secondary gear members. The secondary gear members are engaged to spin simultaneously by a main gear member. As such, the pins could be adjusted to fit on oil filters of various sizes. Additionally, each pin is rotatable and has at least a flat face. As the pins rolls along the circumference of the oil filter, their flat faces are turned to interface the flat faces around the oil filter. As such, the oil filter is tightly and reliably clamped by the oil filter replacement device, thereby preventing the problem of uneven exertion of force and deforming the oil filter.

    摘要: A hand tool is provided for removing twist-off, pry-off, and tabbed container tops. The tool comprises a first and second arm member in hinged connection to one another about a hinge pin. Each of the arm members includes a rounded portion and a handle portion, whereby the upper ends of the rounded portions are connected together at the hinge pin. The rounded portions form a rounded opening adapted to receive a bottle cap therein, whereby the handle portions are gripped together to compress the rounded portions against the cap. Along one or more of the handle portions is a bottle cap pry bar member, and along the distal end of one of the handles is a tab blade pry tool. Within the interior of the rounded portions may further be blade members to grip the outer surfaces of the bottle cap placed therein or to function as a pry tool.

    摘要: A system and method for gripping, torqueing and releasing an element so as to cap and/or decap a container, such as those typically utilized to house specimens in laboratory environments. The system is driven by a single bi-directional motor linked to a coupler assembly via a rotating threaded shaft. The coupler assembly is configured to engage with an element, such as a cap or container, via mechanically-biased splines that are actuated without any complex linkages, or operative connection to the motor or other powered components. The system employs an ejector nut and an ejector, both of which are concentrically positioned about the threaded shaft. The ejector nut translates along the shaft as a function of the shaft's rotation, so as to permit the retraction of the ejector when an element is engaged in the coupler assembly or cause the ejector to extend into the coupler assembly to disengage the element. The direction and rotation of the motor is controlled by a system coupled to sensors positioned within the system. Such control system may include one or more processors, component interfaces, and data storage/memory. The sensors may include multiple optical, magnetic or mechanical means for monitoring one or more of the positions of the ejector nut and ejector along the threaded shaft, and/or the rotational position of the coupler assembly.

The fingers are resiliently moveable transversely outward relative to the hub upon receiving the cap into the socket whereby the fingers are biased transversely inward against a sidewall of the cap when the cap is received in the socket. A plurality of stops extends from fewer than all of the fingers laterally inward of the socket. The stops are adapted for contacting a top of the cap upon receipt of the cap within the socket such that the fingers and stops cooperate to orient the tool on the cap.
