摘要:
To provide a colored glass plate of which the mass ratio of divalent iron as calculated as Fe2O3 to total iron as calculated as Fe2O3 can be stably maintained at a high level while amber coloring derived from salt cake (Na2SO4) is suppressed by reducing the amount of salt cake used as a refining agent, and which has less bubbles regardless of a small amount of total sulfur as calculated as SO3. A colored glass plate which is made of alkali-containing silica glass containing iron, tin and sulfur, wherein, as represented by mass % based on oxides, the proportion of total sulfur as calculated as SO3 is less than 0.025%, the proportion of divalent iron as calculated as Fe2O3 to total iron as calculated as Fe2O3 is at least 45%, the proportion of divalent tin as calculated as SnO2 to total tin as calculated as SnO2 is at least 0.1% as represented by mol %, and β-OH is at least 0.15 mm−1.

The present invention relates to a method of fabricating an improved lithium silicate glass ceramic and to that material for the manufacture of blocks for dental appliances using a CAD/CAM process and hot pressing system. The lithium silicate material has a chemical composition that is different from those reported in the prior art with 1 to 10% of germanium dioxide in final composition. The softening points are close to the crystallization final temperature of 800° C. indicating that the samples will support the temperature process without shape deformation.

An apparatus and method for creating openings in a material that solidifies is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a rigid board and at least one rigid retainer plate. The rigid retainer plate comprises at least one buoyancy plate to resist the buoyant force of the material that solidifies, at least one hydrostatic plate to resist the hydrostatic force of the material that solidifies, and a retainer tie. The rigid board further comprises retainer plate slots configured to accept the retainer plates. When the apparatus is in use, the retainer plates are inserted into the retainer plate slots and the retainer ties are coupled to formwork panels. The material that solidifies is then poured into the gap between the formwork panels. Once the material is solidified, the formwork panels are removed and the apparatus can be either reused or thrown out. The apparatus may be used with any material that solidifies.

In illustrative implementations of this invention, a crucible kiln heats glass such that the glass becomes or remains molten. A nozzle extrudes the molten glass while one or more actuators actuate movements of the nozzle, a build platform or both. A computer controls these movements such that the extruded molten glass is selectively deposited to form a 3D glass object. The selective deposition of molten glass occurs inside an annealing kiln. The annealing kiln anneals the glass after it is extruded. In some cases, the actuators actuate the crucible kiln and nozzle to move in horizontal x, y directions and actuate the build platform to move in a z-direction. In some cases, fluid flows through a cavity or tubes adjacent to the nozzle tip, in order to cool the nozzle tip and thereby reduce the amount of glass that sticks to the nozzle tip.
