摘要： Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an adhesive layer, bearing including the adhesive layer, and methods of forming. The adhesive layer can include a mixture of a first polymer, a second polymer, and a third polymer, wherein the second polymer includes ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, and the third polymer includes a modified ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, ethylene tetrafluoroethylene hexafluoropropylene, or a combination thereof. In a particular embodiment, the first polymer can include an aromatic polymer. In another embodiment, the adhesive layer can have a tensile stress in an extrusion direction of at least 30 MPa.

摘要： The present invention relates to a low VOC solvent based adhesive comprising a mixture of at least two organic solvents and a thermoplastic resin. Desirably the adhesive has a flash point of at least 100.degree. F. when measured in accordance with ASTM D3828-87. The solvent blend of the low VOC solvent based adhesive of the instant invention volatilizes at substantially reduced rates as compared to conventional solvent blends in solvent based adhesives. Furthermore, this novel low VOC solvent based adhesive is easy to apply, cost effective, and cures within a reasonable time without the use of heat, ultraviolet light or other mechanical devices. In addition, the novel low VOC solvent based adhesive has good storage stability in metal or non-metal containers.

摘要： Low polymerized halogenated polyvinyl chlorides which are obtained according to the parent Specification by further chlorination of polyvinyl chlorides in the presence of solvents or agents promoting the formation of suspensions are used as a basis for adhesives, particularly for leather cements. The compounds may be used as such, or admixed with other adhesives, or with the addition of solvents e.g. acetone, methyl, ethyl and butyl acetates or mixtures thereof with benzine, benzene or toluene; softening agents e.g. phthalic esters, ethyl acetanilide; natural and artificial resins e.g. fine resin and copal; pigments, fillers and fibrous materials e.g. iron oxide, zinc oxide, chromic oxide, wood meal, asbestos powder or fibres. According to an example, a leather cement is obtained by dissolving 20 pts. by wt. of low polymerized polyvinyl chloride in 80 pts. by wt. of methylene chloride.
