    摘要: Condensation products prepared from cyclic carboxylic anhydrides of dicarboxylic acids, tricarboxylic anhydrides or tetracarboxylic anhydrides and difunctional polyamines, in particular polyoxyalkyleneamines, are suitable as a builder component for epoxy resin compositions. The reaction products based on tricarboxylic anhydrides or tetracarboxylic anhydrides are distinguished by having on average more than one imide group and carboxyl group per molecule. The compositions may optionally also contain condensation products obtained from tri- or poly-functional polyols and/or tri- or poly-functional amino-terminated polymers and cyclic carboxylic anhydrides, wherein the latter reaction products contain on average more than one carboxyl group per molecule. These compositions additionally contain conventional rubber-modified epoxy resins together with liquid and/or solid polyepoxy resins and conventional hardeners and accelerators and optionally fillers and rheology auxiliaries. Such compositions are particularly suitable as impact-resistant, impact/peel-resistant and peel-resistant adhesives in vehicle construction and in electronics. Particularly at very low temperatures, these adhesives exhibit very good impact and peel properties combined with very good corrosion resistance and ageing resistance of the adhesive bond.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a low VOC solvent based adhesive comprising a mixture of at least two organic solvents and a thermoplastic resin. The low VOC solvent based adhesive of the instant invention volatilizes at substantially reduced rates as compared to conventional solvent based adhesives. Furthermore, this novel low VOC solvent based adhesive is easy to apply, cost effective, cures within a reasonable time without the use of heat, ultraviolet light or other mechanical devices.

    摘要: A CPVC adhesive for joining CPVC pipes comprises: (a) about 18 to 28 wt % CPVC resin; (b) a high vapor pressure solvent comprising about 15 to 35 wt % tetrahydrofuran and 0 to about 30 wt % methyl ethyl ketone; and (c) a low vapor pressure solvent comprising about 20 to 45 wt % cyclohexanone, 0 to about 30 wt % N-methyl pyrrolidone, and 0 to 10 wt % dibasic esters (a mixture of refined dimethyl esters of adipic, glutaric, and succinic acids). The VOC level of the CPVC adhesive composition of the invention is at or below the allowed maximum value of 450 g/l, yet the adhesive meets or exceeds required performance standards, such as hydrostatic burst strength and hydrostatic sustained pressure test.

    摘要: Multilayer films of ABS resin and amorphous polyamide resin are provided which are thermoformable with the use of an adhesive layer comprising a blend of the amorphous polyamide resin and the ABS resin. The multilayer films exhibit gas barrier properties which allow for the use of these films in environments where blowing agents escape from foamed-in-place insulation. The multilayer films can be thermoformed to provide equipment liners such as refrigerator liners, dishwasher liners, car interior panels, and appliance housings.
