    摘要: A compact biomass gasification-based power generation system that converts carbonaceous material into electrical power, including an enclosure that encases: a gasifier including a pyrolysis module coaxially arranged above a reactor module, a generator including an engine and an alternator, and a hopper. The generator system additionally includes a first heat exchanger fluidly connected to an outlet of the reactor module and thermally connected to the drying module, a second heat exchanger fluidly connected to an outlet of the engine and thermally connected to the pyrolysis module, and a third heat exchanger fluidly connected between the outlet of the reactor module and the first heat exchanger, the third heat exchanger thermally connected to an air inlet of the reactor module. The system can additionally include a central wiring conduit electrically connected to the pyrolysis module, reactor module, and engine, and a control panel connected to the conduit that enables single-side operation.

    摘要: A pyrolysis waste-to-energy conversion system has a muffle furnace housing a rotating retort drum within the furnace and having an inlet sleeve and an outlet sleeve extending through inlet and outlet ends of the muffle furnace. A rotating retort drum drive applies rotary drive to the inlet rotating retort drum sleeves and an in-feed auger is within a tube within the inlet sleeve. An out-feed auger is within a tube within the outlet sleeve and arranged to deliver char and pyrolysis syngas to a char processing system and a syngas processing system. The inlet sleeve and said outlet sleeve are arranged to provide a gas seal to prevent air ingress or syngas egress to and from the rotating retort drum. A gas cleaning system has a cracking tower arranged to retain inlet gas at an elevated temperature for a residence time, and a gas quench and scrubber system.

    摘要: A three stage process for producing producer gas from biomass or other carbonizable waste products using a double gasifier is described. A reactor for the three stage process comprising a primary, an intermediate and secondary gasifier is also described. The primary gasifier utilizes a vertically adjustable fill level sieve and a discharge mechanism for the combustion residues. The primary fuel and the preheated primary air are supplied to the primary gasifier via the reactor base. The secondary gasifier, a coke producer is connected to the primary gasifier downstream. The intermediate gasifier, a fluw flow gas converter, is supplied with secondary air. The low temperature carbonized gas from the primary gasifier, as well as the carbon particles leaving the primary gasifier are introduced into the secondary gasifier through a radially symmetrical ring nozzle to provide a long residence time under reducing conditions. The reactor is also optionally provided with one other gas, comprising at least in part the product, producer gas, introduced via a bypass arrangement.

    摘要: A gasification process of improved efficiency is disclosed. A dual bed reactor system is used in which carbon-containing feedstock materials are first treated in a gasification reactor to form pyrolysis gases. The pyrolysis gases are then directed into a catalytic reactor for the destruction of residual tars/oils in the gases. Temperatures are maintained within the catalytic reactor at a level sufficient to crack the tars/oils in the gases, while avoiding thermal breakdown of the catalysts. In order to minimize problems associated with the deposition of carbon-containing materials on the catalysts during cracking, a gaseous oxidizing agent preferably consisting of air, oxygen, steam, and/or mixtures thereof is introduced into the catalytic reactor at a high flow rate in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the reactor. This oxidizes any carbon deposits on the catalysts, which would normally cause catalyst deactivation.

    摘要: A downflow, gravity type gasifier includes a vertically oriented chamber having a loading zone at the top, followed by a drying zone, followed by a pyrolytic zone for pyrolytic decomposition, followed by a cracking zone for cracking the tars, followed by a reduction zone and an oxidation zone wherein the gas is generated and the combustible material is burned. The cracking zone has a divider, e.g. a cruciform divider, in it, and each of the resulting sections of the cracking zone is individually supplied with air for more uniform distribution of air and more uniform cracking than heretofore available. In addition to the air supplied to the periphery at the cracking zone, air outlets are arranged in respective radial arrays of the outlets for more uniform distribution of air into the reduction and oxidation zone. Steam is generated in the cooling water jacket surrounding the oxidation zone and that steam is delivered into and passed through the interior of a cruciform-shaped radiator disposed in the drying zone for heating the drying zone. The air from the arrays of air outlets creates an additional oxidation zone performing additional oxidation, so as to deliver substantially tar-free gas from the gas outlet of the gasifier.
