摘要: A structural member may include a primary metal member having a metal surface containing iron, the metal surface susceptible to corrosion, and a protective outer coating formed on the metal surface to resist corrosion. The coating may include a polyaspartic top coat layer and a passivation layer. The coating may be formed of a first part including an inorganic acid phosphate mixture and a second part including an inorganic alkaline metal oxide or hydroxide mixture. The first part may include an inorganic acid phosphate mixture having acidic phosphate component, filler, water as solvent, suspension agent, and nonionic surfactant. The second part may include an inorganic alkaline metal oxide or hydroxide mixture having metal oxide or hydroxide, filler, water as solvent, suspension agent, and surfactant.

摘要: An electrical steel sheet has an insulation coating on a steel sheet surface. The insulation coating includes: a binder consisting of 100 parts by mass of a metal phosphate and 1 to 50 parts by mass of an organic resin having an average particle size of 0.05 to 0.50 μm; and a carboxylic acid-containing compound with a carbon number of 2 to 50 in an amount of 0.1 to 10.0 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of solids content of the binder. The organic resin is at least one selected from the group consisting of acrylic resins, epoxy resins, and polyester resins. The insulation coating of this electrical steel sheet shows good edge corrosion resistance after blanking.

摘要: The present invention relates to an aqueous composition based on phosphates, aluminum ions and other metal ions, in particular manganese ions and zinc ions, as well as silicates, siloxanes or silanes, for providing anticorrosive coatings on metal surfaces, in particular for the electrical insulation of grain-oriented electrical steel strip. For the desired functionality, the compositions according to the invention contain the constituents mentioned in a prescribed ratio to one another. The invention also relates to a method for coating the surface of a metallic workpiece by using the aqueous compositions, wherein the method produces outstanding results, in particular on grain-oriented electrical steel strip, with regard to corrosion protection and adherence.

摘要: A magnesium alloy material having excellent impact resistance is provided. The magnesium alloy material is composed of a magnesium alloy that contains more than 7.5% by mass of Al and has a Charpy impact value of 30 J/cm2 or more. Typically, the magnesium alloy material has an elongation of 10% or more at a tension speed of 10 m/s in a high-speed tensile test. The magnesium alloy is composed of a precipitate, typically made of an intermetallic compound containing at least one of Al and Mg, and contains particles having an average particle size of 0.05 μM or more and 1 μm or less dispersed therein. The total area of the particles accounts for 1% by area or more and 20% by area or less. The magnesium alloy material containing fine precipitate particles dispersed therein has high impact absorption capacity through dispersion strengthening and has excellent impact resistance.
