摘要: A tidal barrage comprising: a plurality of spaced towers, a plurality of barriers for controlling water flow through the barrage between the towers, and one or more turbine devices, wherein the towers comprise at least first, second and third towers, wherein the first tower is located between the second and third towers and houses one or more of the turbines, wherein one or more first barriers are provided between the first and second towers, and one or more second barriers are provided between the first and third towers, wherein the barriers are configured so that when the one or more first barriers and the one or more second barriers are in a first configuration, a first flow path through the barrage is defined from a first side of the barrage to a second side of the barrage, and when the one or more first barriers and the one or more second barriers are in a second configuration, a second flow path through the barrage is defined from the second side of the barrage to the first side of the barrage, and water flowing through the first and second flow paths flows through the one or more turbines housed in the first tower in the same direction, wherein one or more of the barriers comprises a water impervious flexible membrane, a buoyancy member; and one or more tethers.

摘要: Hydro Turbine unit producing 880 MW-h energy daily in offshore oceans creating average high-pressure compressed air transferable energy stored in air tanks and using generators to transform into local electrical energy. The harvesting of renewable offshore water energy of ocean wave, tidal and stream energy, converting it to accumulated water head potential energy in a large isolated water trapping pool structurally supported laterally by six tall towers extended to ocean maximum depth of 100 meter deep with arrow shape plungers pneumatic reciprocating hammering into seabed in slanted angle relative to seabed. The energized ocean water enters the trap pool through thousands of one-way check valves in the trap pool floor and surrounding walls. Large flow openings into 6 Hydro turbine manifolds direct swirling water through radial guiding vanes and conical converging top vertically downward through 8 turbine blades applying torque to turbine outlet shaft and flowing down to ocean level.

摘要: A circular dam for generating, accumulating, storing, and releasing electrical energy comprises a wall defining a water reservoir built in an abundant body of water such as a sea or an ocean. Water inside the water reservoir is kept at a water level below the water level outside the wall so as to create a water level difference sufficient to operate one or more water turbines positioned across the wall of the water reservoir. Excess electrical energy from other renewable sources of electricity such as wind, solar power, or supplied by a local power grid is used to operate water turbines as water pumps to lower the water level inside the reservoir during times of peak supply of electricity. Water is drained from outside the wall back into the water reservoir to generate electrical energy by flowing over a plurality of water turbines. Generated electricity supplements electrical power for the local power grid during times of high demand.

摘要: A device for extracting energy from flowing fluid is provided. First and second buoyant lateral side members are provided. A fluid turbine is disposed between and below the lateral side members. At least one support extends from each side member to the turbine. At least one adjustable length support connects to the first and second side members, the at least one adjustable length support being adjustable between a minimum length and a maximum length. When a length of the adjustable length support adjusts toward the minimum length the first and second side members move closer together to thereby lower the turbine relative to the lateral side members. When the length of the at least one adjustable length support adjusts toward the maximum length the first and second side members move away from each other to thereby raise the turbine relative to the lateral side members.

摘要: An improved ocean wave energy extraction system is disclosed. The system includes at least one duct for receiving an oscillating water column. The duct has a first segment, a second segment arranged transversely to the first segment and a flow control segment intermediate the first and second segments. The flow control segment is configured to inhibit turbulent flow of the oscillating water column flowing within the duct. A turbine is in fluid communication with the second segment of the duct such that the turbine is driven by the fluid flow which is generated by the oscillations of the oscillating water column within the duct. The turbine rotates an electric generator to thereby generate electrical energy.

摘要: A generator for converting tidal fluctuation to electrical energy is provided. The generator includes at least a first energy transfer mechanism. The first energy transfer mechanism includes a weight that is floatable in water. The first energy transfer mechanism further includes a first driver gear and a coupling rod connecting the weight to the first driver gear. The coupling rod rotates the first driver gear when the weight rises or lowers while floating on the water. Therefore, linear vertical motion of the tides is converted into rotational motion. A rotor is rotated by the first driver gear when the first driver gear is rotated by the coupling rod.
