    摘要: A solid pre-cast prestressed concrete foundation pile and associated installation components having a single prestressing strand located on the longitudinal center axis of the pile, reinforced in the ends only with helix shaped wire reinforcement. The prestressing strand extends beyond the concrete face on the end to present an attachment point for a connection device used to transmit forces from a structure foundation and to accommodate the utilization of a unique, reusable cushion block and, where necessary a, particular internal splice device to form a continuous pile composed of multiple segments. The cushion block receives hammer blows applied to the top of the pile necessary to the driving (installation) process, affording protection to the pile top, the exposed strand and the internal splice device. The completed installation may include the optional attachment of the connection device (when required) after removal of the cushion block.

    摘要: A method for the construction of subterranean partitions or diaphragm walls in concrete, of the type in which a trench is excavated in the ground by known means so that when the casting concrete is effected, the walls of the trench assume directly the function of moulding boxes. Prior to pouring the concrete, a set of metal stressing members, such as high tensile strength steel, is inserted into the trench according to a pre-determined profile. After the concrete has set, the said stressing members are subjected to a traction force to induce a prestress adapted to give the wall pre-inflection in a selected direction and amount. Since the concrete is in the trench and in intimate contact with the walls thereof, the traction force applied is of such a degree that, if the same force were applied to a similar wall element outside the earth, such a wall element would fail and crack.

    摘要: A coupling means for interconnecting the several sections of a sectional pile structure which includes tubes of deformable material embedded in and opening through the adjacent ends of the pile sections, and elongated connectors also of deformable material having bifurcated end portions for reception in the respective tubes. Wedges operatively associated with these end portions engage abutment within the tubes to separate the furcations, forcing them outwardly into expanding engagement with the tube to locally expand the latter and thereby to provide an interlock between each tube and the connector. Concurrently with the local expansion of each tube in a given direction transversely to its length, there occurs a compensating contraction thereof in a direction transverse to its expansion whereby to relieve stress and to minimize the likelihood of splitting the tube, while at the same time, interlocking the tube and connector against relative angular movement.

    摘要: The subject invention pertains to a completely new pile splicing system called Grouted Sleeve Coupler Splice (GSCS) for Precast Concrete Piles (PCPs) as an innovative alternative splicing method for connecting driven PCP segments. The provided splicing method is applicable for preplanned situations and provides a durable, labor-friendly, rapid, and economical foundation construction method. In this system, to improve the structural performance, the entire sleeve coupler and a portion of the dowels are partially debonded in short lengths from surrounding concrete. This connection system is novel in conjunction with PCPs and for connecting separate precast pile segments. The provided system offers a completely unique and new method of connecting and splicing PCP segments and other prismatic prefabricated piles.

According to the anchor assembly, the pre-stress is not required to be tensioned and locked on site, so that the quality of the pre-stressed mandrel can be ensured, the on-site construction period can be greatly shortened, and the existing pre-stressed and common non-pre-stressed anchors can be replaced.

    摘要: A post-tensioned tube foundation for supporting a structure subject to high upset forces is described herein. The post-tensioned tube foundation includes an outer CMP, an inner CMP, and a tubular concrete base positioned between the inner CMP and the outer CMP. The outer CMP includes an inner surface that defines a cavity extending between a first open end and an opposite second open end. The outer CMP is positioned within an excavated hole defined along a ground surface. The inner CMP is positioned within the cavity of the outer CMP such that an annular space is defined between the inner CMP and the outer CMP. The tubular concrete base is positioned within the annular space defined between the inner CMP and the outer CMP. A plurality of bracing beams extend radially outwardly from the tubular concrete base.
