摘要: In an exhaust-gas recycling device for internal-combustion engines, especially diesel engines, in which the exhaust-gas recycling quantity is controlled as a function of the engine running via an exhaust-gas recycling valve mounted in the exhaust-gas recycling line, it is to be possible to regulate the exhaust-gas recycling flow quantity independently of flow resistances changing in the fresh-gas intake and exhaust-gas lines. For this purpose, changes of flow resistance in the fresh-gas intake and exhaust-gas lines are fed as additional pressure control signals to the exhaust-recycling valve. A change of flow resistance in the exhaust-gas line can occur particularly as a result of a soot burn-off filter which is installed there an on which the soot is burnt off at irregular time intervals.

摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation valve having a valve member that cooperates with a valve seat of a connection neck of an exhaust gas recirculation line. The neck protrudes into a tube of the intake system of an internal combustion engine, and the valve seat points toward the inlet side of the exhaust gas recirculation line. A valve member of the exhaust gas recirculation valve is thus acted upon by the exhaust gas pressure in the closing direction, as a supplement to a compression spring counter to an armature of an electromagnet acting in the opening direction. To compensate for the forces acting in the closing direction, the exhaust gas is carried via a conduit in the valve shaft into a control chamber, which is closed off from the pressure in the tube via a movable wall, having an effective surface area that substantially corresponds to the effective surface area of the valve member. This obtains a balance of forces, such that the control of the exhaust gas recirculation valve depends only on the electromagnetic forces and on the force of the compression spring.

摘要: The valve device for exhaust gas feedback in an internal combustion engine comprises a controlled valve (1) whose valve plate (1a) cooperates with a valve seat (2) in a valve housing (7b). The exhaust gas inlet of the valve housing is connected via an exhaust gas feedback pipe (7) to the exhaust gas side of the internal combustion engine and the exhaust gas outlet is connected through a connecting pipe (16) to the induction side of the internal combustion engine. The valve housing is formed by an end section (7b) of the exhaust gas feedback pipe (7) itself and the valve seat (2) is formed by a constriction (8) formed in the end section. The pipe part (9) of the end section (7b) connected to the constriction (8) carries the regulating actuator housing (3). The pipe part (9) is provided at the side with an opening (14) forming the exhaust gas outlet and the connecting pipe (16) is brazed to the pipe part (9) in the region of this opening (14).

摘要: A modulating bypass valve includes a valve housing defining a modulating fluid passageway and a bypassing fluid passageway through the valve housing. The valve also includes a throttle plate assembly that is inserted through the valve housing and has a rotating shaft on an axis that is generally perpendicular to the modulating fluid passageway and the bypassing fluid passageway. A modulating throttle plate is attached to the shaft and located within the modulating fluid passageway. A bypassing throttle plate is attached to the shaft and located within the bypassing fluid passageway. An actuator rotates the shaft.

摘要: An apparatus containing a first gas chamber having a plurality of inlets is provided for collecting undesirable gaseous emissions. Each of the inlets includes a device for adjusting the flow of gas into the chamber. A second gas chamber is provided adjacent the first gas chamber and a plurality of passageways are provided between the two chambers. A regulating system is provided to control the flow of gas from the first gas chamber through each passageway to the second gas chamber in response to predetermined operating conditions of the motor. An outlet from the second gas chamber, which includes a flow adjusting element, directs the gases to an intake of the motor where the undesirable gaseous emissions can be consumed.
