摘要: A valve device for exhaust gas recirculation in the exhaust gas system of a motor vehicle that is driven by an internal combustion engine. In order to create a valve device that can be used as an EGR check valve in which a pressure loss relative to known designs is reduced even with small valve geometries, it is proposed for the valve device to comprise a valve body that is embodied as a separate part that is mushroom-shaped or umbrella-shaped and is axially guided in a supporting plate in a region through which the gas flows axial, rests with its umbrella against the supporting plate in a way that seals the region through which the gas flows in a closed position, and has an end stop for an open position.

摘要: A controller is used in an internal combustion engine provided with an EGR device recirculating some of exhaust gas flowing in an exhaust passage to an intake passage as EGR gas. The EGR device includes an EGR passage and an EGR valve. The controller includes a CPU that controls opening and closing of the EGR valve. The CPU executes determining process of determining whether the temperature of the internal combustion engine is about the same as the outside air temperature, and an axis displacement eliminating process of opening and closing the EGR valve when it is determined that the temperature of the internal combustion engine is about the same as the outside air temperature in the determining process during the operation stop of the internal combustion engine.

摘要: A valve assembly for an exhaust gas recirculation system includes a housing defining an inlet bore and including a second interior surface defining a housing bore. The valve assembly also includes a valve seat and a valve. The valve includes a valve stem and a valve sealing member. The valve assembly optionally includes a baffle at least partially disposed in the housing bore. A first interior radius is defined between the valve stem and the second interior surface. A second interior radius is defined between at least one of the valve stem and the second interior surface, the valve stem and the baffle, and the baffle and the second interior surface. The second interior radius is different from the first interior radius and is configured to direct the flow of the exhaust gas in the housing bore to reduce swirl of exhaust gas in the housing bore.

摘要: A motorised fluid metering valve includes an inlet pipe, a discharge pipe and a motor moving a piston that can move linearly between a closed position in which a distal end of the piston sealingly engages with a seat of matching shape, and an open position. The valve is configured to have a flow rate that varies continuously between the closed position and the open position depending on an axial position of the piston. The inlet pipe opens in a periphery of the discharge pipe, with a constant protuberance regardless of the position of the piston, the protuberance not extending radially beyond a barycentre of the discharge pipe. Also, the motor is a rotary electric motor moving the piston in translation.

摘要: A computer control network is connected to a multiple-cylinder engine and implements aftertreatment temperature management. Processors are configured to determine an aftertreatment temperature-efficient air to fuel ratio that satisfies the sensed power output request, determine an air to fuel ratio adjustment, select an in-cylinder exhaust gas recirculation technique, select at least one EGR cylinder of the multiple-cylinder engine to implement the in-cylinder exhaust gas recirculation technique, and control the intake valves to open and the exhaust valves to close for the selected at least one EGR cylinder to adjust the oxygen and particulate content of the exhaust gas by applying at least a second compression stroke of the respective reciprocating piston of the at least one EGR cylinder to the exhaust gas to push the exhaust gas through to the intake manifold.

The shaft is rotatably mounted in the housing and a valve seat is arranged in the flow duct, the valve seat being in contact with the flap in the closed position thereof. At least one portion of the flow duct adjacent to the valve seat has a cross section smaller than the inside diameter of the valve seat.

摘要: A poppet-type EGR valve includes: a housing that includes a flow passage; a valve seat; a valve body allowed to be seated on the valve seat; a valve shaft on which the valve body is provided at one end section thereof; and a drive unit reciprocally driving the valve shaft. The flow passage has an inlet and an outlet and includes a bent passage portion that is bent downstream from the valve seat in a direction perpendicular to the direction toward the inlet. The bent passage portion includes at least one of a section in which the passage area is constant and a section in which the passage area increases toward the downstream direction, and does not include a section in which the passage area decreases toward the downstream direction. In the section in which the passage area increases toward the downstream direction, the passage area changes gradually.
