摘要: A fuel filter includes: a casing having a chamber for collecting water separated from fuel; a water level sensor that extends into the casing and is provided with an electrical water level contact extending into the collection chamber and an intermediate electrical contact arranged inside the casing and outside the collection chamber; and a water separator element having: a filtering element; a filtering element support provided with a through opening crossed by the water level sensor so that the electrical water level contact extends into the collection chamber; and a conductive element provided on the filtering element support and provided with: a water level electrode extending into the collection chamber; and a contact electrode electrically connected with the water level electrode, spaced apart from it and in contact with the intermediate electrical contact of the water level sensor.

The module also connects to the engine control module (“ECM”) and draws parameters from the ECM. The FMS module is capable of interfacing with various output devices such as a smartphone application, a display monitor, an OEM telematics system or a service technician's tool on a computer. The FMS module consists of hardware and software algorithms which constantly monitor filter systems and provide information to the end-user. FMS module provides necessary inputs and outputs for electronic sensors and devices.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling a fuel delivery system to limit acidic corrosion. An exemplary control system includes a controller, at least one monitor, an output, and a remediation system. The monitor of the control system may collect and analyze data indicative of a corrosive environment in the fuel delivery system. The output of the control system may automatically warn an operator of the fueling station of the corrosive environment so that the operator can take preventative or corrective action. The remediation system of the control system may take at least one corrective action to remediate the corrosive environment in the fuel delivery system.

摘要: An automatic drain device is configured for use with a fuel water separator filter system. The automatic drain device includes a solenoid, a water-in-fuel sensor, and a controller configured to operate the automatic drain device by activating the solenoid in response to a signal from the water-in-fuel sensor. The automatic drain device may be utilized with suction side and pressure side fuel water separator filter systems. The automatic drain device operates independently of any user input.

摘要: A filter monitoring system and method are described. The filter monitoring system includes a module or circuit installed on an internal combustion engine or within a vehicle powered by the internal combustion engine. The filter monitoring system monitors the operation of the various filtration systems present on the engine to determine an amount of service life remaining and a loading percentage for various filter cartridges installed in the filtration systems of the internal combustion engine. The filter monitoring system determines the loading percentage and predicts remaining service life of a given filter cartridge via a time-based manner (e.g., based on the installation date of the filter cartridge and filter cartridge life specifications) and a pressure differential based manner (e.g., based on a determination of pressure drop across the filter cartridge).

摘要: A discharge control device for a filter system and a filter system for filtering a media flow of a first and a second medium is provided with a collecting chamber that collects the second medium separated from the media flow. A sensor arrangement with a first sensor unit, a second sensor unit, a first shut-off valve having a closure body, and a second shut-off valve is provided. The first sensor unit is operatively connected to the first shut-off valve. The first sensor unit has a float that purely mechanically actuates the closure body of the first shut-off valve. The second shut-off valve is arranged in series in flow communication with the first shut-off valve. The second shut-off valve has an electromagnetically actuatable valve controlled by the second sensor unit as a function of a fill level of second medium in the collecting chamber.

Water present on or in the fuel is first collected in a water container, and water is conveyed, in chronological order, from the water container back to the operating substance tank, then to an exhaust system and/or from the operating substance tank to the exhaust gas system. A dewatering device for an operating substance, more particularly a fuel for a vehicle, more particularly a rail vehicle, includes a water container, in which water present on or in the fuel is collected. The dewatering device has a dewatering conduit or line which runs from the water container to an operating-substance tank of the vehicle and/or to an exhaust-gas system of the vehicle.
