摘要： A filter assembly that includes a water separator as part of the filter assembly. The water separator is arranged in the filter assembly and includes a filter element that is provided with a hydrophobic medium through which fuel/lubricant can pass through. The filter assembly also includes a water separator positioned downstream from the filter element. During the operation of the filter assembly, the water separator causes the water in the fuel to be separated and accumulate on the hydrophobic surface of the water separator and, due to the gravity, allows the water to flow downwards along the surface of the water separator into a water collection/sedimentation chamber where it can be evacuated from the filter through one or more passageways.

摘要： A filter device, in particular for fluids contaminated with water admixtures, such as diesel oil, has a filter housing (1) holding at least one filter element (9). The filter medium of the filter element separates an untreated side (13) from a treated side (19) during the filtration process in the filter housing (1). A water collecting unit (5) is provided and holds separated water on the untreated side. Water separated on the untreated side (13) also reaches the collecting unit (5). Mutually separated collecting chambers (61, 67) are present in the collecting unit (5) for the water discharged at the treated side (19) and at the untreated side (13).

The internal inspection light system includes an assembly body, a compartment, and a light source. The assembly body is configured to attach to the fuel water separator bowl. The compartment includes a compartment wall extending from the assembly body with at least a portion of the compartment wall being formed of a material such that sufficient light can pass through the compartment wall to illuminate the fuel water separator bowl, and a compartment cap connected to the compartment wall distal to the assembly body. The light source is located within the compartment.

摘要： The apparatus and related method employ fluid pressure to first separate the water accumulation chamber from the filtration chamber of a filter assembly by closing fluid flow pathways that allow water to flow into the accumulation chamber. With the chambers separated, fluid pressure is applied to the accumulation chamber to open a drain valve and push water out of the accumulation chamber. The period for which pressure is applied to the accumulation chamber can be regulated by sensors detecting a low water level, or can be timed, or both. When the water removal is completed, the fluid pressure is removed and fluid communication between the filtration chamber and the water accumulation chamber is restored.
