摘要: A combustion chamber (10) for burning solid fuels having a high volatiles content has a hollow body (11) with a cylindrical wall section (12) and a top section (13) located at end (14) of the cylindrical wall section (12). The hollow body (11) has a primary air inlet (20), a fuel inlet (23) and four volatiles outlets (25) (one shown), mounted therein. Each volatiles outlet (25) has a plurality of apertures (26) of differing sizes arranged in a plate (27). In use, the burning volatiles exit the apertures (26) in a turbulent flow resulting in efficient combustion of the volatiles. Additionally, a heat transferring surface (33) on a water jacket (32) is shaped around the combustion chamber (10) so as to define a channel (34) there between. This arrangement results in an efficient transfer of heat from the turbulent flow of volatiles, which is forced to circulate around the channel (34).

摘要: A grilling device includes an auger feeder system, a heating element, a blower and a temperature control system. The temperature control system includes at least a first temperature sensor inside the firepot and a second temperature sensor inside a cooking chamber above the firepot. The heating element can also serve as the first temperature sensor. A method for controlling the temperature of the grill can include receiving temperature feedback information from one or more of the temperature sensors and adjusting power provided to the auger feeder system, heating element, and blower. The temperature control system produces cold smoke resulting from the combustion of lignin in solid wood fuel while minimizing temperatures inside the cooking chamber.

摘要: A vibratory feed mechanism for pellet fuel combustion device provides a spring-mounted feed plate communicating with a fuel reservoir and vibrated by an electric motor carrying an offset counterweight to move pelletized fuel from a first position on the feed plate to a feed orifice defined in the feed plate for communication of the pelletized fuel to a metering channel and a drop tube for conveyance to a fire pot. A control board communicating with an igniter, at least one thermocouple, a combustion fan, and the electric motor allow a user to set a desired parameter which controls the rate of pelletized fuel feed and temperature and operating conditions.

摘要: The invention relates to a combustion device for burning fuel such as wood, wood chips, wood pellets, or the like, wherein the combustion device comprises a first chamber and a second chamber, wherein the second chamber is arranged underneath the first chamber and the first chamber receives the fuel, wherein the first chamber comprises, at the bottom, an intermediate layer of combustible material which holds the fuel in the first chamber as long as the intermediate layer is not damaged or destroyed by combustion and such that, following damage to or destruction of the intermediate layer, fuel located in the first chamber falls into the second chamber, wherein, during the combustion process in the first chamber, substantially gas combustion is caused and, after the fuel has been conveyed into the second chamber, coal burning preferably occurs, or the fuel may be removed from the second chamber through an opening.
