    摘要: A carbon reactivation apparatus has a fossil fuel kiln adjacent to a rotary dryer and flue gas from the kiln flows through the dryer co-currently with carbon particles to provide a more efficient process than previously known. The apparatus has a rotary kiln with a drum therein sloped downwards from a feed end to a discharge end, a furnace shell surrounding at least a portion of the drum with a fossil fuel heater and hot gases from within the shell heat the rotary kiln. A rotary dryer slopes downwards from an inlet end to an outlet end and carbon particles to be reactivated are fed into the inlet end. Ducting from the shell surrounding the drum of the rotary kiln extends to the inlet end of the rotary dryer for hot gases to flow along the dryer to the outlet end in the same direction as the carbon particles. Carbon particles are discharged from the outlet end of the rotary dryer into the feed end of the rotary kiln, the carbon particles being separated from the hot gases in the rotary dryer, and there is an exhaust system to exhaust the hot gases from the outlet end of the dryer.

    摘要: A method for smelting reduction of iron ore comprises the steps of: preheating and prereducing iron ore; charging said preheated and prereduced iron ore, carbonaceous material and flux into a smelting reduction furnace; blowing oxygen gas through a top blow oxygen lance having decarburizing nozzles and post-combustion nozzles into said smelting reduction furnace, an end of said top blow oxygen lance being arranged between an upper side level of a slag layer and a lower side level of said slag layer; blowing a stirring gas through at least one side tuyere placed in side wall of said smelting furnace and at least one bottom tuyer placed in bottom wall of said reduction furnace so that at least part of said stirring gas introduced through at least one said side tuyere hits a swollen portion of the molten metal by said stirring gas introduced through at least one said bottom tuyere; and controlling a flow rate of said oxygen gas and said stirring gas blown in said smelting reduction furnace so that an OD of infurnace gas of said smelting furnace ranges 0.5 to 1.0, where said OD is represented by the following formula: OD=(H.sub.2 O+CO.sub.2 )/(H.sub.2 +H.sub.2 O+CO+CO.sub.2). And, further, an apparatus used in the above-mentioned method.

The soaking furnace has: a heating zone for heating the steel pieces; a soaking zone being communicated to the heating zone and having a heat source for heating the steel pieces, which have been heated in the heating zone, at a higher temperature than in the heating zone for the soaking treatment, the soaking zone having a ceiling higher than a ceiling of the heating zone; and means for connecting the heating zone to the preheating chamber for feeding waste heat.

    摘要: An asphalt recycling system and process are incorporated into an existing batch type asphalt plant. The existing asphalt plant has an aggregate dryer and air discharge ducts connected to a filtering system. A recycling dryer has input ducts connected to the existing aggregate dryer discharge ducts and output ducts connected from the recycling dryer back to the existing ducts to the filtering system. A recycle feeder bin for feeding reclaimed asphalt pavement to the recycle dryer is connected to the recycle dryer. A recycle booster burner is operatively connected to the recycle dryer through the input duct to the dryer for providing additional heat to the recycle dryer so that the waste heat from the existing aggregate dryer and the booster burner provide a predetermined heat to the recycle dryer for heating the asphalt material. A recycling storage bin or silo is connected to receive the heated recycled asphalt from the recycle dryer. A hammermill or other means may be provided for breaking up the old asphaltic materials, such as old paving materials prior to entry of the material into the recycle dryer. Dampers are provided for directing heated gases from the existing batch type asphalt plant to the recycling system, as needed, and temperature controls are utilized to control the recycled booster burner to provide the right combination of existing waste and added heat for the recycled dryer. The stored recycled asphalt materials may be fed to an existing plant batching tower for batching and loading into vehicles.
