摘要: A measurement apparatus mountable on a movable apparatus includes a first imaging device to capture an image in a first image capture direction, the first image capture direction having a first angle with respect to a direction of travel of the movable apparatus, and a second imaging device disposed next to the first imaging device to capture an image in a second image capture direction, the second image capture direction having a second angle with respect to the direction of travel of the movable apparatus. The first and second imaging devices are disposed to overlap at least partially a first imaging range of the first imaging device and a second imaging range of the second imaging device. At least one of the first image capture direction of the first imaging device and the second image capture direction of the second imaging device is set at a given angle with respect to a width dimension of the movable apparatus.

摘要: A method for determining a target geometry of a track for correcting the geometry of the track. An actual geometry of the track is detected first on a track section by a measuring system and the target geometry is calculated on the basis of the actual track geometry afterwards by way of a computing unit. Actual position points of the track are detected along the track section by a position detection system, with at least one actual position point being given to the computing unit as a point of restraint, and with the target geometry being calculated by the computing unit such that the target geometry is adapted to the actual geometry as a sequence of geometric track alignment design elements and is placed through the preset point of restraint. The method achieves a significant increase in quality compared to the known compensation method using pre-measurement.

摘要: Ambient conditions in which a marine vessel is to travel along a path are determined. Power settings for the marine vessel to travel along the path are determined based on the ambient conditions to direct the marine vessel to travel along a planned trajectory toward a designated location. Movement of the marine vessel is monitored while using the power settings and a discrepancy between movement of the marine vessel and the planned trajectory is identified. The power settings are automatically modified based on the discrepancy. Movement of the marine vessel then controlled according to the modified power settings.

摘要: A method 20 and system 10 monitor road condition, by providing, for portions (14.1-14.m) of a road 12, an approximation 210 of a roughness figure in accordance with a roughness index. The method 10 includes receiving speed data 208 of a first vehicle 16 travelling along each of the portions of the road 12 and receiving, from a measuring device 18 carried on the first vehicle 16, measured acceleration data 204 of the device 18 perpendicular to the road 12 surface. The acceleration data 204 is processed to provide a parameter value 206 relating to the acceleration data 204 for each of the portions of the road 12. A first speed-based conversion equation and the speed data 208 is utilized to convert the parameter 206 into the approximation 210 of a roughness figure for each of the portions of the road 12, in accordance with the roughness index.
