    摘要: A system of measuring and correcting for distortions in homodyne systems and a method for operating a data processing system to provide an estimate of distortions in homodyne systems are disclosed. The method for operating a data processing system to provide an estimate of a distortion introduced by a homodyne system when the homodyne system processes a time a multi-tone time domain input signal, x(t), to obtain a time domain output signal, y(t) includes receiving a frequency spectrum, X(f), of the multi-tone time domain input signal, x(t) and measuring an output frequency spectrum, Y(f), when the homodyne system operates on x(t). A plurality of parameters of a model that represents a linear frequency response of the homodyne system when operating on X(f) to arrive at Y(f) by fitting the model to Y(f) and X(f) is determined, and the model is applied to X(f) and Y(f) to estimate the distortions.

    摘要: A system and method detect the presence of an unacceptable quantity of gas molecules in the reference vacuum cavity of a capacitance diaphragm gauge (CDG). An independent pressure transducer has an active portion exposed to the reference vacuum cavity. The transducer includes a ring anode, a cylindrical inner wall surface that forms at least one cathode, and a magnet positioned with respect to the ring anode such that the magnetic flux of the magnet is generally aligned with the central axis of the ring anode. A high voltage source applies a voltage between the ring anode and the cathode. A current sensor senses a magnitude of any current flowing between the ring anode and the cathode via ionized gas molecules. A monitoring unit monitors the magnitude of the current sensed by the current sensor and activates an alarm when the magnitude of the current exceeds an acceptable magnitude.

    摘要: The present invention provides a cold cathode ionization vacuum gauge that can trigger discharge in a short time even in the case of use over a long period of time without needing a complicated apparatus. It has the structure in which a rod-like anode is located in an internal part of a measuring element container (cathode) having a discharge space with one end thereof which is sealed, and a discharge starting auxiliary electrode is mounted on this anode. The discharge starting auxiliary electrode triggers the discharge in a short time by the formation of a carbon nanotube layer on a discharge starting auxiliary electrode plate.

    摘要: The pressure sensor comprises an air-tight vacuum chamber consisting of a hollow cylinder and a pressure-reception diaphragm. The pressure-reception diaphragm is provided to face a space communicating with a space of an object to be measured. A field emission cold cathode device is provided on the inner surface of the pressure-reception diaphragm. The cold cathode device comprises a lot of emitter electrodes arranged in a matrix manner for emitting electrons, and gate electrodes for drawing out electrons. Two anode electrodes facing the cold cathode device are provided on the inner end surface of the cylinder. The anode electrodes are connected to a differential amplifier for amplifying a variation in output distribution between them.

A member is also provided for removably positioning the glow lamp within the vacuum space whereby the lamp can be removed during bake out and then subsequent thereto, be inserted within the vacuum space to thus enhance longevity of the lamp.
