    摘要: Modular fluidic mixing system for delivering a fluid mixture from separate sources to a point of use. The system includes a mounting board and a series of rows of substrate fittings mounted on the board. Each row has a first end fitting connected to one of the fluid sources and a second end fitting. Each of the fittings in a row is connected in fluid communication to an adjacent one of the fittings in the row to define a fluid flow path from the one of the fluid sources to the second end fitting. Each second end fitting in each row is connected in fluid communication to an adjacent second end fitting in an adjacent row to define a mixing header. The fluids are mixed within the header and exit as a mixture. Fluid flow components for controlling flow from the fluid sources are mounted to the fittings.

    摘要: A fluid metering or pumping device includes multiple pumping or metering elements that are connected so that they all operate together, moving in the same direction and at the same speed. The multiple pumping or metering elements are intended for use at high pressures where the strain from the pressure might distort the walls of the elements, and interfere with their pumping or metering accuracy. These elements are enclosed in, but preferably not directly connected to a pressure vessel that would contain the high operating pressure, leaving the pumping or metering element housings to only contain the pressure rise or fall that occurs within that element. The pumping or metering elements are connected to a support structure that also penetrates the pressure vessel, and contains an outlet port for that element. The pressure vessel connects the elements, and serves as an intake plenum for all of the elements.

    摘要: A dosing device is provided for introducing small doses of a liquid contained in a first chamber into a second liquid flowing in a second chamber. The device includes a body traversed by a bore which fluidly connects the chambers to one another and in which slides a push pin mounted on a sliding member and a follower pin mounted freely between the push pin and an abutment bar attached to the sliding member. The sliding member reciprocates parallel to the axis of the bore whereby the follower pin is pushed in one direction by the abutment bar and in the opposite direction by the push pin. A space separating the follower pin from the push pin constitutes the dosing chamber which is displaced between the first and second chambers.

    摘要: A liquid additive injection pump has a hydraulic motor comprising a differential piston assembly reciprocable in a housing under the urging of a primary liquid into which an additive is to be injected. The piston assembly includes valves to effect the transfer of a primary fluid charge from the pump motor to a discharge passage and to effect reciprocation of the piston assembly. The motor piston is connected to a central axially disposed piston rod which extends into an additive injection pump cylinder. In one embodiment a floating additive injection pump piston has a stack of displacement control washers engaged therewith and disposed on the piston rod. In another embodiment the pump piston passes through a seal member between a pump chamber and a bypass chamber and an elongated spiral groove formed on the periphery of the pump piston determines the effective displacement of the pump. A spring biased toggle type linkage snaps the motor valves into open and closed positions to provide positive movement of the valve members. Liquid additive is injected into the primary fluid stream at the outlet passage of the apparatus and downstream of the motor mechanism. An external adjustment mechanism is provided for variably presetting the effective displacement of the piston.

The system further comprises pilot-valve means for converting rotary motion into trains of substantially square-wave-like liquid pressure pulses of a frequency dependent on the flow-rate proportional rotary motion, and control-valve means, acted upon via the pilot-valve means by the liquid-pressure pulses, for alternatingly passing liquid from the main line to the pump-drive means, and permitting return of the liquid from the pump-drive means to the control-valve means.

    摘要: The present invention discloses an improved apparatus for injecting additives into a stream of fluid passing through the apparatus. The apparatus has a housing adapted for connecting to a source of fluid and to an external source of additive and also has an outlet through which the intermixed fluid and additive pass. Fluid entering the housing drives a turbine means, which converts the movement of the fluid into a rotary force. The turbine means is connected to a transmission means which changes the high-speed, low-torque rotary force produced by the turbine means to a rotary force having slower speed but higher torque. The transmission means drives a positive displacement pump means which draws additives from the external source into the fluid passing through the apparatus at a rate which is determined by the speed at which the turbine means rotates. The positive displacement pump means utilizes a wobble disk to convert the rotary motion produced by the transmission means to the reciprocating motion necessary to drive the pistons in the pump means. Additionally, the pump means incorporates multiple cylinders to allow either mixing of additives from various sources with the fluid passing through the apparatus, or to provide a method of controlling the concentration of a single additive injected into the fluid when all of the cylinders are connected to the same additive source.

    摘要: Apparatus is disclosed for delivering two or more liquids in predetermined ratios, where the liquids are pumped by separate reciprocating pistons, the stroke of each piston being independently adjustable by means of a pivotal piston rod anchor and an adjustable piston arc control mechanism. All of the pistons are interconnected by means of an angularly rotating metering shaft which is in turn connected to a toggle valve mechanism for reversing the piston drive control upon reaching a predetermined amount of angular rotation. Since all interconnected pistons pass through the same angular value, but along independently adjustable arcs of travel, the respective strokes of each piston may be thereby controlled. A novel air valving mechanism for accomplishing the reversal and control of valves which regulate the fluid flow in contact with the respective pistons forms a part of the present invention.

    摘要: Method and apparatus are provided for cleaning heavily soiled surfaces or surfaces coated with strongly adhering organic materials which comprises providing a water stream, either by itself or in combination with cleaning solutions to a plurality of bays at a temperature of at least 190*F and a pressure of at least about 650 psi. A network of lines is provided for carrying and mixing the water stream and one or more cleaning solutions or solvent streams. As part of the network, a manifold serves to distribute the water stream through a plurality of conduits to the bays. Each cleaning solution or solvent stream has a separate line coupled to each of the conduits through separately actuatable valves, so as to allow each of the operators at the bays to independently choose the cleaning mode employed. Each of the cleaning solutions are pressurized to at least the pressure of the water stream. A single pump is employed for each of the streams maintaining the streams substantially at the same pressure, irrespective of the degree to which the stream is in use.
