    摘要: A clutch actuation system for a vehicle, comprises a first assembly adapted to be driven from a stop position by an actuating force, and a second assembly, which is driven by the first assembly, and drives in a certain direction a driven member which moves in such a way that a first part of its travel is accomplished against a relatively weak resisting force, and a following part of its travel is accomplished against a relatively strong restoring force. A clearance adjuster comprises means for biasing the first and second assemblies with respect to one another in such a direction as, if the first assembly remains in its stop position, to drive the driven member in said certain direction with biasing force strong enough to overcome said relatively weak resisting force but not strong enough to overcome said relatively strong restoring force, and means for locking the position of said first assembly with respect to said second assembly when said first assembly is moved off its stop position.

    摘要: A multidirectional input device includes a frame, a plate-shaped base below the frame, a load detector provided on the frame or the base, and circuitry. The frame stores part of a tiltable operation stick and a tilt detector. The circuitry is configured to output an output signal representing the direction and the magnitude of an operation on the operation stick, based on the angle detection value of the tilt of the operation stick detected by the tilt detector and the load detection value of a load applied to the frame detected by the load detector. The circuitry is configured not to output the output signal or to output the output signal that sets the magnitude of the operation to zero, when the load detection value detected by the load detector is less than a predetermined threshold.

    摘要: A torque limiting system for use in power driven equipment in which the power is applied through a torque converter to a drive train. The system utilizes a signal which is proportional to converter output shaft rotational speed. The signal acts upon an engine speed governor to limit the torque applied through the torque converter by limiting the engine speed to predetermined speeds when the converter output shaft is stopped or rotating at relatively low speeds. At high converter output shaft speeds the governor operates in its normal manner since excessive torque is not normally developed when this shaft is rotating above a predetermined speed. In a gear train having more than one gear ratio the system may contain means for limiting operation to certain gear ratios if it would interfere with performance in other gear ratios, or such means may be omitted rendering the system operative in all gears if no such interference would occur.

    摘要: A cable operating apparatus includes a pawl and ratchet arrangement for maintaining an operating lever in a cable-tensioning position. The pawl is bifurcated to define a pair of pawl tips, the pawl being pivotable in opposite directions for effecting alternate engagement of the pawl tips with the ratchet. The pawl contains a slot that receives the pawl pivot pin and which permits lateral movement of the pawl between a pair of end positions. An overcenter spring arrangement alternately pivotally biases the pawl in opposite directions when the pawl is displaced toward the end positions, respectively. A cam arrangement serves to effect lateral displacement and pivotal movement of the pawl when the operating lever is pivoted from the released position toward a cable tensioning position. When the operating lever is locked in a cable-tensioning position by the pawl and ratchet arrangement, further movement of the lever in the cable-tensioning direction causes release of the pawl from the ratchet, whereupon the operating lever may either be pivoted further in the cable-tensioning direction, or released for return to the cable-released or off position. According to a modification, a manually operable release rod may be provided for releasing the pawl from the ratchet.

    摘要: There is provided a cable tension regulator having a pivotable hub which is rigid with an operating lever. Two quadrants are pivotably mounted on the hub and have fixed on their peripheries respective cables for connection to a control or controlled element. Resilient means urge the quadrants to pivot in the direction corresponding to tensioning of the cables. Means are provided for locking the quadrants on the hub when an additional traction is exerted on one of the cables by the control element and for releasing the quadrants when the tensions of the two cables change simultaneously. Each quadrant is pivotably mounted on the hub by means of a disengageable one-way coupling which prevents, when in operation, the quadrant from pivoting under the effect of the resilient means. There is provided means for disengaging the one-way coupling when the respective cable is taut.
